Planetbase 2 is not just the sequel to the original Planetbase, but also the spiritual successor to Dawn of Man. The game is currently work in progress and we expect to launch in early 2027. You can follow our devlog on X or Bluesky (see links on the right hand side).

Colonize The Solar System

Colonize Mars, The Moon and other worlds of the Solar System. Each world posing a different and increasingly difficult challenge.

Mine and Manufacture

Make use of in-situ resources in order to build a self sustaining colony. Harvest regolith, mine metals, establish manufacturing industries and do whatever it takes for your colony to survive and thrive.

Harness the power of Nature

Collect energy from whatever sources are available in each world. Develop the systems required to harvest and store energy from The Sun, Wind, Nuclear and more.

Research Technologies

Unlock both local and Earth-based technologies in order to build larger and more efficient colonies.

Construct Vehicles and Robots

Manufacture or import vehicles and robots that will aid with the hardest tasks in the settlement and will increase your chances of survival.

Layered Control

Automated systems will allow you to manage your colony without micromanagement most of the time. However when the need arises you will be able to give specific commands to individuals, so they do what you need them to.

Evolved Gameplay

Imagine a game with all the features of Planetbase, Dawn of Man and more. In particular we plan to add a tech tree, vehicles, and the ability to create separate bases.
