A Republic Falls

A powerful explosion rips through the citadel of the capital city of Ghatika. As the city burns through the night, its people scramble into the fields and forests as they desperately try to survive. A few refugees band together and head for the dark jungles in the heart of the subcontinent of Minashi.

Overview

Ghatika is a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure set in a fantasy world with ancient kingdoms, ruthless polity and mysterious tribes. Explore dense jungles, boulder fields and mountain ranges as you desperately try to secure the safety of your people. Strange events are afoot that seem to be tied to the complex history of your people. Fight off bandits and predators as you try to befriend the tribes and uncover the secrets of Ghatika.  

Secure your Settlement

The Guilds of Ghatika allowed the republic to establish itself as a hegemony for over 9 centuries. Find the people who will lend their expertise to help build and develop your settlement so it can become the safe haven for all those displaced by the doom. Manage resources, find technologies and develop supply chains to grow in beyond a refugee camp.

Explore the Land

These grounds are ancient and people have existed here long before Ghatika. Discover the lore of past empires, ancient tribes and ruthless bandits as you travel through diverse stages. Animals can be exploited if you can take them on. Be weary lest the hunter becomes the hunted.

Fight for Survival

A diverse range of enemies want you and your people gone. Master combat as you dash, block and build combos as you carve your way through them. Your Guild Heads will accompany you with unique abilities and weapons to aid you in battle. 

Loot, Gather and Trade

Collect unique weapons and materials that will strengthen your settlement and your combat capabilities. Trade with the Free Traders and the tribes so you are never lacking in supplies.

Intimate Community

The society of Ghatika is close-knit with many traditions and practices. Watch your people socialize, share stories, celebrate and mourn through these turbulent times. Help manage the happiness of your people and watch their bonds grow; your people could still beat the odds.

Strange Beings

Supernatural occurrences are taking place in the world, and it seems connected to the doom of Ghatika. Venture into the jungles and find divine trees that are home to ancient spirits; perhaps they may be able to assist you in uncovering the truth behind the doom.
