What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are working on this project for 2 years now, and are financing everything privately. We are now on the run getting to the finish line and we would love to give the game a better quality and add more crew members for the last round.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We think that we're able to finally release this game in 6-9 Months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The biggest difference is that we create a complete new campaign for the Early Access version, so you don't blow your fun for the final game. We will add new features constantly with regular patches (estimated to be once or twice per month)”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable, and we have a special campaign for you :)

But the game still is in alpha, so far we don't have much units and some texts may be missing ;)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access version will be upgraded to the Deluxe version of the game, so you get the soundtrack, artworks and other stuff for free after the release. You will also be able to play the Early Access campaign after the release :) The Deluxe version will also cost a bit more”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are comming from the modding scene - so this is a HUGE yes. We developed our gaming mods together with the community and we hope to be able to do so again with this game :)”

About This Game

In Vol'Talkes, you play in the role of Captain Ben Kincaid, a Commander of the Allied Defense Force, a military organisation that was founded to protect mankind from alien attacks. With the development of so called CAIs (crystaline artificial intelligences) mankind discoveres the opporturnity to embed the personality of a human in a crystaline device and thus empower it with almost infinite computing power. Unfortunatly these CAIs are not accepted as equal individuals by the human race and so, after years of oppression by their creators, they start to rebel against them and a war begins, that will define the future of mankind in the universe.

But the story is not carved in stone. On your journey with Captain Kincaid you are forced to make decisions, which will often push you in a conflict between moral and obedience and most of the time there is no real black and white, but various shades of grey. Thereby the story evolves in different directions and the type of available units and possible partners for alliances will change dramatically.
