«Kult Rising will continue to receive major content updates on a regular basis for the foreseeable future. It is also an immersive sim designed around many interconnected game modes. This will allow the community to engage with and test out the game mechanics, while we can finish out the story behind the scenes, allowing for community input to be the driving force for the game design, while also allowing us to release the entire first arc of the story all at once.»

«As we implement more features and modes, we will be incrementally increasing the price of the game. The next increase is estimated to be in the spring of 2025.

At the moment, the game consists of 4 levels: Level 0 - the Yellowrooms, Level 1 - the Habitable Zone, Level 37 - the Poolrooms, and Level ██ - the Pinkrooms.

When the game launches we plan on giving you access to the story mode, which is the intended focus of the game. We plan on this gameplay loop largely revolving around survival crafting mechanics, where you will recruit NPCs and build up your Kult. The full release is planned to be much more narratively driven than early access.»

«We have a discord where we have channels for discussing the game, as well as giving suggestions. We are implementing a robust bug reporting system for players to give feedback on any issues they encounter live in the game, and we are building a steam workshop system to allow artists from the community to create custom cosmetics and officially add them to the game, where we will split profits with them.»

Kult Rising is a atmospheric found footage Backrooms exploration game centered around realistic graphics, and open ended level design to immerse you in our liminal world. Set in the Sxlaris dimension of the SCP Universe, the Backrooms have been contained inside of SCP-x216, and you along with it!

Explore the seemingly infinite complex as you adventure through liminal, surreal, and dreamcore levels.

Atmosphere over Entities:

The focus of this game is to explore the eerie beauty of liminal and surreal spaces, entities are rare in the backrooms, outside of a handful of levels. THIS IS NOT A HORROR GAME. It is an RPG with horror elements.

Current Levels:

Level Ω - The Abyss - semi-open world

Level 0 - The Yellowrooms - 3 clusters

Level 1 - Habitable Zone - 2 clusters

Level 37 - The Poolrooms - 3 cluster

Level ██​ - The Pinkrooms - 2 Clusters

Sandbox:

  • test out our hoard shooter mode and play around with upcoming mechanics

  • this is a demo level that acts as our "creative mode"

  • use it to test out new ideas, weapons, and builds!

As we implement more features, Kult Rising will be gradually increasing in price. The next increase is estimated to be: Summer 2025 

Note: Kult Rising follows the Sxlaris canon of both the SCP Foundation, and The Backrooms, more info can be found on our Wiki.

Second Note: To avoid confusion with existing SCPs, any SCPs unique to the Sxlaris universe have an "x" designation in their name (i.e SCP-x173 instead of SCP-173).

First/Third Person Shooter Combat:

  • survive against waves of zombies

  • collect new weapons, and discover new abilities

Explore the Labyrinth:

  • lethal-like scrap retrieval with a biopunk twist

  • harvest organs and gather evidence to sell and meet your quota

  • survive against the hoards of zombified D-Class personnel, infected by SCP-3127 and SCP-7475-J

  • find lesser cores to travel farther down the labyrinth, until you find a greater core to extract

  • survive the extraction event to earn your rewards
