What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Devil’s Crew is a co-op game built around tension, survival, and teamwork—systems that need real players to test, break, and shape. Early Access lets us involve the community directly, tune the difficulty, expand mechanics, and refine progression based on real feedback.

We’ve got the core gameplay loop working: mining, monsters, gear, survival. But there’s more we want to add—tools, challenges, progression, polish—and Early Access gives us room to do that properly, with your input helping shape what matters most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least 1 year. We want to take the time to expand the game properly—adding new gear, cave types, enemies, and polish—while reacting to player feedback. The timeline may shift depending on scope and how development evolves, but 1 year is our current goal.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand on everything: more tools, equipment upgrades, enemy types, cave environments. We also want to refine progression, improve visuals and performance, and introduce more ways for players to interact, strategize, and survive together. Early Access will help us shape these systems with community input, making sure the final game is tightly balanced and built to last.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is in place: players can explore procedurally generated caves, extract soul crystals, avoid threats, and return to the surface as a team. Online co-op for 1–4 players is functional, along with basic mining tools, monsters, quota mechanics, and gear purchasing between runs. The game is playable and stable, but still early—expect bugs, balancing issues, and content gaps as we continue development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Possibly. We may raise the price as we add more content, features, and polish throughout development. Early Access players will get the full game as it grows, and we’ll always give a heads-up before any price changes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll be listening closely to players throughout Early Access—especially around balance, difficulty, gear usefulness, and what features people want more of. Feedback will shape future updates and help us focus on what matters most. We’ll use Steam forums, Discord, and social media to stay in touch, share progress, and gather input as development continues.”

About This Game

You’re a demon, working off a debt in a mining operation deeper than hell itself. Your job is simple: extract soul crystals to meet the Devil’s quota.

Each mission drops you and your crew into procedurally generated caves. The layout changes every time, and the deeper you go, the more dangerous it gets. No maps. No guidance. Only your tools.

You’ll be equipped with basic mining gear but the tools you bring won’t always be enough. If you make it back with enough crystals, you can use your earnings to buy better equipment between runs. But survival’s never guaranteed.

Work together. Communicate. And don’t make noise. The creatures in these caves don’t care about your quota, and they’re always watching, always waiting.

You can’t fight them. You can’t outrun them.
The only way out is to work fast, stay quiet, and make it to the surface before the lift seals shut. Keep your crew alive, or risk losing everything.

  • Online co-op horror for 1–4 players

  • Procedurally generated cave networks—new tunnels, new paths, new risks with every mission.

  • Extract soul crystals to meet your quota. The longer you take, the harder it gets to escape.

  • Use mining gear and support equipment—lights, comms, and more. The better tools you bring, the better your chances.

  • Buy better gear between runs—if you survive long enough to spend your cut. Choose upgrades, tools, or additional supplies to prepare for the next descent.

  • Avoid creatures that hunt in the dark. They track you by sound and movement—there's no fighting them, only evading them.

  • Stay too long, and the odds turn against you. The deeper you go, the more the environment itself becomes hostile.

You’re not a hero. You’re just a miner.
Don’t miss your quota. Or don’t come back.
