Miksi Early Access?

We decided to bring BitCraft Online to Early Access because we believe strongly in developing this game with input from our players. Although we are just coming to Steam, we have been playtesting with players for several years and their input has been invaluable in shaping the development of BitCraft Online into the version you can play today.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We honestly don’t know when BitCraft Online will be ready to leave Early Access. We have large ambitions for the full release and it could take us several years to get there. That said, we don’t believe there is a need to rush leaving early access and would only consider leaving early access when both us and the community feel that BitCraft will be a great full release.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The final release of BitCraft Online is planned to be an expansion of the Early Access experience. While we plan to keep the core gameplay the same, we plan to introduce biome-specific challenges, new regions, enemies, and resources, making exploration more dynamic and rewarding. We plan to give players access to a wider variety of weapons, crafting stations, and buildable structures, allowing for deeper customization of settlements and stronger defenses against evolving threats.

Beyond gameplay content, we plan to deliver a more polished and scalable world. We plan to add many more cosmetic options for characters and settlements, along with improved collaboration features for settlements and empires. We plan to create a functionally infinite world, starting with a large environment in Early Access and expanding to support tens of thousands of concurrent players dynamically.

Additionally, while occasional wipes will be necessary during Early Access to adjust progression and balance, we plan that the final release will feature persistent progression, ensuring that player progress is never reset. The transition from Early Access to final release is planned to be focused on expanding content, refining systems, and scaling up the world to bring the final release of BitCraft to life.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current Early Access version of BitCraft Online is the foundation of the game we see it becoming during full release. We are looking to take this foundation and add a lot more content, gameplay diversity, polish, and quality of life improvements as we progress through Early Access towards full release. Currently BitCraft allows you to advance in 12 Professions through 10 tiers of progression, 6 advanceable skills and a plethora of gameplay relating to the social sandbox world of BitCraft.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

BitCraft Online currently sits at a paid access pricepoint on Early Access, but it is our intent for the final release of BitCraft to be Free to play. We don't expect to change the price during Early Access.

BitCraft Online has always been a game where we aimed to put community input at the forefront of its development. Since 2022, BitCraft has undergone public tests where we gathered community feedback and took community input into each following iteration of the game. This data and feedback from surveys, emails and bug report tickets has been invaluable in pathfinding the direction of such a complex game.
