“We're releasing Soul’s Remnant in Early Access because we want players to be able to experience the vast world we’ve built, while helping us refine and shape it in the best way for the future of the game, as community feedback is critical to us in developing Soul’s Remnant!

Souls Remnant draws on the feeling of classic 2D MMOs like MapleStory, where you grind, socialize, party up, trade, carve out your own build, and participate in a vast player-driven economy. We want players who loved those games to help us recapture that magic while we polish and expand the game’s world over time.”

“We estimate staying in Early Access for 6 to 12 months, depending on community feedback and how quickly we can refine and improve the content in the game. We want to take our time with development and get it right, rather than rush it.”

“For the full version we plan to include:
- More end-game content: additional bosses with unique mechanics, more areas for high-level players, and more general end-game content.
- Further refined and balanced gameplay for all skill tree paths in the game, as well as further refining and developing melee, ranged, magic, and faith skills.
- Full controller and Steam Deck support (controller support is already in the game, and constantly being worked on and improved with community feedback)
- Deeper crafting, gathering, and life-skill progression
- Quality-of-life improvements: UI polish, clearer feedback, smoother and more intuitive tutorials, and more quality of life in general.
- More cosmetics and equipment items to customize your character with
- Large updates, potentially including things such as player housing, seasonal gameplay, and entirely new areas to explore
- Ongoing economy, drop-rate, and balance tuning based on live data

Our goal is to add more content to the game, and to continue to refine and polish the game overall, working closely with our community to build the best version of Soul’s Remnant possible!”

“Souls Remnant is a fully playable MMORPG and currently includes:
- A classless, build-your-own-character system: freely mix the Melee, Ranged, Magic, and Faith skill lines through stat allocation and swappable equip, skill, and stat loadouts
- 72+ skills across combat and life disciplines to unlock and level up
- Over 1,000 items, including nearly 200 weapons plus hundreds of armor pieces, headgear, accessories, capes, and auras to collect and customize your character with
- An extensive gear upgrading system for customizing and enhancing equipment, building your gear in any way you choose
- A full crafting system, allowing you to craft items from 700+ crafting recipes, customizing them in any way you see fit in our crafting minigame
- Life skills including fishing, mining, herbalism, and gathering minigames
- Nearly 100 monsters and 19 bosses to defeat, along with 3 unique dungeons to explore
- 200+ maps across multiple biomes, with lots to explore and 150+ quests to complete.
- A fully player driven economy, with both an auction house and player shop stalls.
- 10 NPC villagers to befriend and learn about through completing their requests or giving them gifts.
- Full online multiplayer with parties, guilds, friend lists, a channel system etc. Everything you would expect from the social aspect of an MMO!

Generally, all of the core content of the game is fleshed out and is playable. We have content we’d like to expand on and content we’d like to add in the future, but we are proud to say the game is largely a completely functional MMO!”

“We do not plan to change the pricing of the game during or after Early Access. The game will remain free-to-play, supported by optional cosmetic and convenience purchases through our cash shop that fund ongoing development. These are optional and not required to play or progress, though we greatly appreciate our supporters.”
