What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to hear from you, for feedback on gameplay and storytelling. NDi is an independent game studio and we need your honest opinions & suggestions. We care about the Community and we want to make sure we build, what the community wants. Feedback, testing and iterative design are essential in game development; you can count on us to listen and utilize feedback generated by the Community and include them in our road map.

BONUS Purchase Early Access for Episode 1 and include a Free future Key to continue in Episode 2

We believe we’ve created something really special here, and we want your input to take ARM Planetary Prospectors to the next level. As we continue to improve and support ARMPP into the future and beyond.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
The full version of ARM Planetary Prospectors is expected to be released in Fall 2016, on PC and MacOS. Then later on other platforms such as PS4 and Xbox One.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The full version will build on the core features that already make the Early Access version enjoyable, but we’re dedicated to adding and improving new ones with every update. Feedback from Early Access players will undoubtedly bring in suggestions that we can use to make the full version more robust and packed with improved content. We’re currently working on clever ways to play in Free-For-All mode while building out amazing storylines, all while developing a unique type of multiplayer. The current graphics and gameplay are not final, and will be subject to change.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The core gameplay is there, although the player is imprisoned aboard a Mining Barge, and has to mine and craft a way to freedom. Players can also currently pilot Mining Repair Rescue Mechs in a realistic space-mining simulator that is focused on fun, and not just click and mine. Space mining is very dangerous and risky job, there are many things that can go wrong and hidden dangers lurking in the unknown.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
Yes. ARM Planetary Prospectors is currently discounted for Early Access, as we are adding more content bi-weekly. We want to encourage and reward our early adapters and contributors with digital and physical rewards.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
Community support will be the backbone to the success of ARM Planetary Prospectors We want to hear your thoughts on the game so we can make improvements during Early Access while we still have time to significantly improve the game.

We’ve integrated an idea and bug report tool into the game, which allows us to track the amount of contributions any community member makes. We want to thank our contributors with well-deserved rewards!

The community is encouraged to connect with us via our website and social media as well, if they’d like to learn more about NDi, the game itself, and keep informed about our updates:

Website: https://www.PlanetaryProspectors.com/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/NefDimensions
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NefariousDimensions/

Like us on Facebook, and Follow us on Twitter, we will be giving reward points, for the Community sharing on social media. The more success we have, the better we can make the final version.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan currently is to make ARM great enough to win some awards, then it will be finally released once it's Finished. Once the release of the full game, NDi will then begin releasing the following episodes. Although we plan to keep it in early access until it's polished and ready to ship.

We are also started planing a Kickstarter for the iOS/Android cross platform Companion game that will have Cross Platform Multiplayer with ARM Planetary Prospectors”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final release of "Episode One" will include a procedurally generated "near infinite" open world multiverse, destructible environments, simulated Newtonian physics, component system damage and much more. Players will "Choose their own Adventure" as they find ways to break free from the Mining Barge. They will meet enemies and friends along the way, as they come together to earn or find a clever way to escape the Mining Barge Prison.

After the final version, we will work to bring a Multiplayer experience, where friends can join in and help collect minerals. Later on, once mass amounts of minerals are collected, we will add a module that will allow Player, to design, craft and construct their own mining colonies, refineries, and setup defensive fortifications. Explore, Prospect, Mine, and Survive against rival mining corporations, pirates, bounty hunters and atrocious aliens.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently in Alpha PvA (Asteroids) (PvE) form with additional episodes, new tools, new mechs/spacecraft, more branching stories and additional planets to be added over time.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will discuss content and features with the Early Access community and see where they can help us make changes or implement their ideas. After all, we are making this game for the Community and not just for ourselves.

Asteroid destruction Major Overhaul, Engine Upgrade + Price Increases

Greetings NDi Community!

Our tech team has been busy and made a major discovery and breakthrough on rendering large-scale asteroids and planets that will be equal or better than the mining destruction shown on Space Engineers and Star Citizen, something we are very excited about!!!

Attention beloved community, the NDi crew has been overwhelmed with the huge undertaking of the potentially massive epic space adventure. In order for us to believe Episode one, we had to reshape with an attack plan focusing on the core mechanics while offering a lighter version of EP1. Some content has been cut or reworked, in order to provide a solid, more well-defined experience.

NDi is dedicated to completing ARM, even though we are only an indie developer struggling financially (actually losing money just to keep the project alive) We still believe in the project and will ship it once it's complete and ready, so that we will attract more fans and continue to build a legacy along with future episodes.

With future episodes in mind, we are adjusting our Roadmap so that we can adaptively add on our other features and storylines that will further improve the overall gameplay experience.

It's not a big secret, but we are utilizing the Unity engine, and now with the latest updates provided will allow for overall increased frame rates and improved graphics fidelity. Expect larger and more realistic looking asteroids to prospect, mine and survive...

During our time, we have once again rethought about how our storyline and narrative will work within our roadmap to shipping Episode one of ARM: Planetary Prospectors. (more details in the link below)

A bit of a heads up, if you haven't purchased the game already, now is a Great deal, because the price will be going up substantially as advised by our CFO, so we can deliver a more polished and well-crafted experience.

Even though we are still in pre-Alpha, early access, we are planning a future Kickstarter and would like your support, even if it's sharing and spreading the word. Early adaptors will still have everything and more, we won't forget about you. We still need your support and feedback.

Check out this thread about the storyline, we are still accepting suggestions and feedback. Contribute and help change the shape of the game before it's too late!

Let's kick some Asteroid A$$!

Sincerely the NDi dev crew

Can you be clever and find a way to escape the prison of being a slave space miner? Then build a mining fleet and become the wealthiest miniMofo in the Universe?

Episode One EARLY ACCESS (ND crew vows to continue to support Planetary Prospectors for years to come)

Bonus Future Steam Early Access for ARM:Planetary Prospectors Episode II

You have to wonder, “Am I free to be a slave, or is the AI messing with my mind?” There’s only one way to find out. Hatch an escape plan while you mine for the Company. Pound lasers into asteroids long enough, you might find an alien artifact and never work again. That is, if the pirates and corporate raiders don’t get there first. Their lasers are bigger, no offense, but you can upgrade, craft tools, and raid other mining camps for supplies. You do what you need to survive. Unless the AI controls you. Then all bets are off.

Your life in the 99% isn’t easy, not like the old days when there was enough for everyone. A debt slave to the Megamine Corporation, you scrape asteroids in the hope that one day you’ll find your little piece of the pie, just enough to peel off your bondage license and buy a ticket back to Euloo New Earth II.... If you don’t die first.

‘Cause dying is easy. Plenty of Luckless out here, poor bastards done in by ruptured oxygen lines, damaged comms, or off-kilter nav kits, the standard end-of-the-line equipment your credit chit can afford. That’s not counting the gas itself, which you extract night after night for propellant and Megamine profits. Sometimes, it propels you, deep into the everlasting darkness.

Nights are all the same. Wake up in a cage somewhere outside Koops Asteroid Belt, take orders from an evil machine, pound rocks all day will lasers and, if you’re lucky, slide some home brewed Hava past the collar to unwind.

It’s a lonely line of work, your friends being not so trustworthy, but there’s always the odd pirate ship to keep you company and spice up your day, even if it is your last. Megamine isn’t the only big player out here, and the gas isn’t the only treasure.

Ever since Deepworld scientists confirmed the existence of microbial life somewhere in the vicinity of Eeloa, your stomping ground has gotten a whole lot more crowded. Aliens are in vogue, and finding the first signs of intelligent life have brought out the crazies. Yeah, even crazier than you.

Just yesterday, the crew next door went off the reservation when their Debris Field Scanning Analyst (DFSA) identified a very strange anomaly coming from an oddly shaped asteroid. Could have been a wild goose chase, ‘cept they didn’t come back.

Wake up! Megamine just tasked you with finding them. Your orders are to fly into the asteroid tunnels and see what happened.

Just another one of those crazy dreams, this time without the night tremors...Well I better get out of bed, before that Xterminator comes for inspection. I really rather dream of breaking out of this prison, and find my family, that I only have a photo of ...that is...if they are still alive.

Try not to be a Luckless.
