Acerca de este juego

AS SEEN IN THE FINANCIAL TIMES, FACT MAGAZINE, AND ARTNET.

Feral Metaverse is an experimental multiplayer game that immerses players in a silent, dystopian world where survival depends on cooperation and kindness. Created by renowned digital artist Theo Triantafyllidis, the game transforms up to 100 players into primal beings who must work together to unlock dramatic world transformations—all without traditional communication methods.

The game represents a bold evolution in multiplayer design, replacing voice chat and text with physical actions and environmental storytelling. Players gallop, climb, and rampage through physics-driven landscapes, working together to discover and unlock the secrets of a constantly shifting world.

Run on all fours across the desolate landscape, ride fellow players like mounts, and collaborate to operate ancient machinery. Every gesture matters in this wordless environment where primal screams become your voice.

Express yourself through collaborative sand drawings, create territorial markings, or simply hide your head in the dirt to disappear from view. Communication takes unexpected forms in the wasteland.

Brave an ever-shifting world where cataclysmic events lurk on the horizon. The line between chaos and harmony blurs, creating an experience where every player interaction shapes the journey.

Feral Metaverse throws you into a wild, untamed multiplayer playground where survival means getting weird and working together. Here’s what you’re in for:

  • Multiplayer Mayhem: Team up with strangers in unexpected ways

  • Group Hug Mechanics: Stack, climb, and form human towers to overcome obstacles

  • True Character Randomization: No customization—become whoever you're assigned

  • Primal Movement: Gallop on all fours or ride other players across the wasteland

  • Collaborative Expression: Create sand art, mark territory, or scream into the void

  • Expansive Open World: Explore The Feral Plains filled with remnants of climate extinction

  • Dynamic Environment: Experience a constantly shifting world with looming environmental disasters

  • Medieval Machinery: Discover and operate ancient contraptions to uncover hidden secrets

Feral Metaverse is the latest experimental work by artist Theo Triantafyllidis, creator of Self Portrait (Interior) (2016), Gecko Ridemption (2017), and Pastoral (2019).

Theo Triantafyllidis is an artist who works with digital and physical media to explore the experience of space and the mechanics of embodiment in hybrid realities. Utilizing algorithms and game engines, virtual reality headsets and experimental performance processes, he creates interactions within immersive environments. In Triantafyllidis’s worlds awkward interactions and precarious physics mingle with uncanny, absurd and poetic situations, inviting the viewer to engage with new realities.

Through the lens of monster theory, he investigates themes of isolation, sexuality and violence in their visceral extremities. He offers computational humor and AI improvisation as a response to the tech industry’s agenda. He tries to give back to the online and gaming communities that he considers both the inspiration and context for his work by remaining an active participant and contributor.

Theo holds an MFA from UCLA, Design Media Arts and a Diploma of Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens. He has shown work in museums, including the Whitney Museum in New York, Centre Pompidou in Metz, Buk-SEMA in Seoul, House of electronic Arts in Basel and NRW Forum in Dusseldorf and galleries such as Meredith Rosen Gallery, The Breeder, Nagel Draxler and Eduardo Secci. He was part of the 2021 Athens Biennale: Eclipse, Berliner Festspiele 2021, Sundance New Frontier 2020 and Hyper Pavilion in the 2017 Venice Biennale.
