Miksi Early Access?

We would like to get a product out to users for testing and feedback. We are planning on getting the base table-top game mode very polished before releasing on early access, then we want to experiment with adding more to the game that would not be possible with a traditional table-top game, like power ups, randomized game events and player skills that can add more strategy to the game. When we start implementing these features (during early access) we would like a live player base to help me balance the game. When the players find the game to be fair and balanced, we would like to launch fully.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We are estimating about 8–15 months. For the next 6–12 months, we are planning on hosting playtests to test the P2P networking and get feedback on the UI, Then launching in early access to work on balancing the player skills and power ups that will be in the "Extreme" game mode.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We plan to have multiple versions of the classic table-top game Bank! The Early Access version will focus on getting the base tabletop part of the game clean and usable. We plan to add more game modes and dice customizations to increase replayability in the final version.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access version of the game will be available in 6–12 months. Currently, the local only version works great. We are planning on finishing the online version and testing using the Steam Playtest features before opening up early access.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Nope, but the game will be relatively cheap as this is our first game. We are still talking about pricing. (We are just a few Uni students, so it's not like we plan on making a lot of money from this game, it's just a fun project!)

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

As stated before, we are planning on using the Steam Beta to test and get feedback on the base, "table-top like", game modes. Then we will use Early Access to balance and fine tune the more creative game modes that are only possible in a video game format.

Bank It! is an exciting dice game of strategy and risk, where players take turns rolling dice to build up points in a shared pot. The challenge? Anyone can claim these points at any time by calling "BANK!" – but wait too long, and you might lose everything!

Bank It! - Game Instructions:

Basic Concepts

  • The Pot: A running total of points accumulated during each roll

  • Banking: Claiming the current pot value for your personal score

  • Round End: Occurs when either someone rolls a 7 or all players have banked

  • The pot starts at 0 points at the beginning of each round

  • After 10 rounds, the player with the highest total score wins

First Three Rolls

  • Rolling a 7: Award 70 points to the pot (instead of ending the round)

  • Rolling Doubles: Add face value only (example: two 4s = 8 points)

  • All other rolls: Add the sum to the pot

Fourth Roll Onward

  • Rolling a 7: Round immediately ends (all unbanked points are lost)

  • Rolling Doubles: Double the entire pot

  • All other rolls: Add the sum to the pot

Banking Rules

  • Any player can "BANK!" at any time to claim the current pot value

  • Banking can occur before or after any roll, regardless of whose turn it is

  • Once you bank:

    • The points are permanently added to your score

    • You cannot roll anymore this round

    • You cannot bank again this round

  • Multiple players can bank the same pot value

  • If you don't bank before the round ends, you get zero points for that round
