What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’ve chosen to release ALiminal in Early Access to allow players to experience and engage with the unsettling world we’ve created while we continue refining and expanding the game. Your feedback is essential in shaping the final experience, and Early Access will give us the opportunity to fine-tune puzzles, gameplay mechanics, and overall atmosphere based on player input.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate that ALiminal will be in Early Access for 6-12 months. During this time, we will continue to develop the remaining levels, puzzles, and features to ensure the final version meets our vision. We will also work on optimizing the game and adding content based on community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version of ALiminal, we are focused on building upon the solid foundation provided in Early Access. Our current development goals include:

- Expanded Environments: We envision adding more liminal spaces to enhance the world’s depth and atmosphere. Hopefully somewhere between 5-10 Levels before the full release.
- New Puzzles and Challenges: We’re exploring opportunities to introduce additional interactive puzzles that build on the core mechanics.
- Enhanced Narrative Elements: We aim to further develop the story and lore, offering a richer narrative experience.
- Optimizations and Polish: Our objective is to refine gameplay mechanics, improve performance, and address community feedback.

The Early Access version delivers a complete core experience, and our intent is to evolve the game based on both our creative vision and community input. Please note that these plans represent our development goals and may be refined over time.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of ALiminal includes:

- The first few levels of the game, featuring core mechanics like exploration and puzzle-solving.
- Initial puzzle types and environmental challenges.
- A strong foundation of atmosphere and psychological horror elements.

However, there may be bugs, unfinished areas, or changes that we will address in future updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to offer ALiminal at a lower price during Early Access to reflect the current scope of the game. As we add new content, refine existing features, and move closer to the full release, we will gradually raise the price. However, once the game leaves Early Access, the price will stabilize and will not change dramatically. We want to ensure that those who support us early get a fair value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively engage with our community through:

- Steam Discussions: We will be monitoring the forums regularly to gather feedback, listen to concerns, and answer questions.
- Discord: A dedicated Discord server will be created where players can discuss the game, share ideas, and report bugs directly with the development team.

Community input is vital to us, and we encourage players to share their thoughts and ideas as we continue to build and improve ALiminal.”
