What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Don't Fall Down is being released in Early Access to allow us to continue improving the game with feedback from players.

The core gameplay and platforming mechanics are already playable, but we want to use the Early Access period to refine the experience, improve level design and difficulty, fix bugs, optimize performance, and add additional content.

Player feedback will help us identify which parts of the game are the most enjoyable, which sections need improvement, and how we can make the overall experience better before the full release.

We want Don't Fall Down to be a fun and challenging platformer, and Early Access gives us the opportunity to develop the game together with the community rather than making all of these decisions in isolation.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Don't Fall Down to remain in Early Access for approximately a year. This timeframe may change depending on player feedback and the development process.

Our goal is to leave Early Access once the game provides a polished and complete experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Don't Fall Down will contain the core gameplay experience, including the main 3D platforming mechanics, third-person character movement, special ability, vertical progression, obstacles, and playable environments.

During Early Access, we plan to use player feedback to refine the level design, platforming mechanics, difficulty, controls, and overall balance. We also plan to improve performance, polish the environments, fix bugs, and potentially expand the game with additional content and challenges.

The full version is planned to provide a more polished and complete experience, with improvements based on player feedback and the development process. The exact scope of additional content may change during Early Access as we learn more from the community and determine what improvements will have the greatest impact on the game.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Don't Fall Down contains the core gameplay experience of the game.

Players can explore the 3D vertical platforming environment from a third-person perspective, using the character's movement abilities and special ability to overcome obstacles and progress higher through the level.

The current version includes the main playable environment, platforming mechanics, character controls, obstacles, and the progression path leading toward the end of the game. The core gameplay loop is fully playable from start to finish.

The game is currently in an Early Access state because some elements still require further polish and refinement. This includes level design, difficulty balancing, gameplay feel, visual polish, bug fixing, and performance optimization.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Don't Fall Down at a lower price during Early Access. As the game is developed, polished, and additional content and improvements are introduced, we plan to gradually increase the price. Players who support the game during Early Access will be able to purchase it at the lower Early Access price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to play an active role in the development of Don't Fall Down during Early Access.

We plan to use the Steam Community Hub and Steam Discussions as the main places for players to share feedback, report bugs, suggest improvements, and discuss the game. We will regularly review this feedback and use it to help improve the platforming mechanics, level design, difficulty, controls, performance, and overall gameplay experience.

We also plan to publish development updates and announcements to keep players informed about important changes and improvements.

Not every suggestion will necessarily be implemented, but player feedback will be an important part of deciding what areas of the game should be improved and what changes would make Don't Fall Down a better experience.

About This Game

About This Game

Don't Fall Down is a 3D platformer where your goal is simple: keep climbing and don't fall.

Take control of your character from a third-person perspective and make your way higher through a challenging vertical environment filled with platforms, obstacles, and unexpected situations. Every jump matters — one mistake can send you all the way down.

Use your character's special ability to overcome obstacles. Combine movement, timing, and careful positioning to keep progressing higher.

Key Features

  • 3D third-person platforming — jump, climb and navigate through a vertical world.

  • Keep going higher — your ultimate goal is to reach the very end without falling.

  • Special ability — use your unique ability to overcome obstacles and reach new areas.

  • Challenging platforming — precise movement and good timing are essential.

  • Varied environments — climb through areas built from different environments and assets.

  • Simple to learn, difficult to master — the controls are easy to understand, but reaching the top is another story.

How high can you get before you fall?
