Londinium: AD 215 is a free-roaming VR & Desktop experience spanning the entire city of Roman London, narrated and guided by world-renowned expert Professor Dominic Perring.

This fully explorable open world is the most comprehensive and historically accurate 3D reconstruction of Londinium ever created, letting you explore and discover this lost ancient city in unprecedented detail and at your own pace.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Founded shortly after the time of the Roman conquest under Emperor Claudius in AD 43, Londinium soon became one of the great power centres of the Western Roman Empire, playing a pivotal role in key imperial events throughout its 400-year history.

Set in AD 215, in the reign of Emperor Caracalla and at the height of the city’s Severan revival, Londinium is being reshaped by imperial-era reforms and monumental investment: the port and riverside are expanded and renewed, waterfront temples and public buildings are restored and embellished, and the newly completed masonry walls rise around the city, defining its limits for over a millennium to come.
