Latitude of the Cult is a psychological horror adventure presented primarily in third-person, with select first-person sequences used for heightened immersion and specific gameplay moments.

Players explore unsettling environments, uncover narrative clues, and progress through a combination of exploration, traversal, stealth, combat, and environmental puzzles. The game blends atmospheric tension with moments of action, allowing players to adapt their approach to different situations.

Combat includes shooting and melee encounters, complemented by stealth mechanics that reward patience and observation. Traversal systems such as climbing and driving are used to navigate varied locations and reach new areas.
