Dao's Cover is a rather unique game. It does not focus on combat in a post-apocalyptic background but instead emphasizes exploration of various aspects within this world. Adopting the Early Access model allows us to gather player feedback promptly and adjust our development roadmap accordingly, which is especially crucial for a small team like us.

Given the extensive amount of gameplay and content planned for future updates, the Early Access phase may last for over two years.

Before the full release, we will continue to develop and expand gameplay features, including the shelter system, talent system, base building, the "Doomsday Train", and a large number of main and side quests. By the full release, we aim to provide players with a more realistic post-apocalyptic experience, where they can help rebuild homes and establish new orders.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Currently, players can engage in basic gameplay such as resource gathering, base construction, and crafting in the post-apocalyptic world. We know that the current content is far from rich. The shelter system and outpost system are already in development and will be updated into the game within the next few months. At that time, larger areas of the map will become accessible, along with additional main quests, side quests, and other expansions tied to the expanded map.

We understand that purchasing an Early Access game represents immense trust from players, especially since this is our team’s first project. To thank everyone supporting us during Early Access, the Early Access price will be lower than the full release version.

Beyond promptly incorporating player feedback to improve the game, we will also announce future updates in the community and adjust development priorities based on community votes. Additionally, we plan to integrate the Steam Workshop once the timing is right.
