Miksi Early Access?

Id like to develop the game while people try it out and help influence its direction. Allows me to release the game really early in development and work out the bugs a bit quicker. Id like to grow Crabs as much as I can for as long as I can.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

At least a year but maybe more. I will release it when its finally refined and an enjoyable experience.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

Id like to have tradable and collectable shells for the Crabs on the final version. Alongside a good fantasy simulation of owning a hermit crab as a pet. With a RPG area (Backyard Area) full of content and gameplay for you and your Crab.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

You login to care for your hermit crabs. They require food and water to stay healthy. If you login past the date you have prepared food for, your crab will perish. There is also a back RPG backyard area where you can roam around with your Crab and interact with different creatures.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

I am not planning on changing the price when Crabs leaves early access. The price may increase over early access with the introduction of new content and features.

Crabs is really early access. In development since December 2024. Some features may be missing or incomplete. To keep up with progress join the discord. The gameplay is also designed for short bursts over a long period. Crab care takes place over real world days. Simulating the routine needed for real life pet care.

Welcome to the tranquil world of Crabs, a relaxing way to experience the joys and quirks of owning a hermit crab without the mess of a real-life tank.

This simulator and idle game puts you in the role of a dedicated hermit crab caretaker. Your mission is to keep your little crustacean friend happy, healthy, and thriving in its cozy habitat.

Key Features

Care for Your Crab – It’s simple. Get a crab, bring it home, and keep its food and water topped up for a few days. Take it out for a backyard adventure. When you are done spending time with your crab you can ALT-F4. The Crab will survive in real time as long it has food and water. Make sure to check in before it runs out and refill as needed. Keep your crab alive as long as possible. Train it to improve its skills and discover new abilities along the way.

Real-Time Gameplay – The game continues even when you are not playing, so there is no need to keep it open to progress.

Backyard Adventure – Take control of your crab and explore the backyard. Discover secrets, face threats, and solve puzzles to discover new traits and abilities for your crabs! (WIP)

Tank Variety and Customization – Unlock larger tank designs and customize them with decorations to create the perfect environment for your crab. (WIP)
