A passive fantasy RPG where you create an adventurer, drop them into a living world, and watch them explore, shop, fight, loot, and level on their own. No control. No divine guidance. Just you, staring through the glass as your avatar lives your dreams better than you.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access lets me refine the game with real player feedback while continuing to strengthen the character-driven systems and overall experience. The core gameplay loop is already in, and community insight will help determine what areas deserve the most attention as development continues to grow.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect it to be in Early Access for a while. Development is ongoing, and I’m giving myself the flexibility to expand, refine, and polish without rushing the process. I expect to leave early access around 18-24 months after launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to broaden the game’s content and systems over time. This includes more areas to explore, more personality and ability options, and additional polish across visuals, audio, balance, and presentation. The scope will expand as the world develops and as community input helps identify what players enjoy most.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core experience is playable and stable, offering the foundational adventurer/pet AI systems, combat, exploration, and progression loops. Visuals, audio, and content scope will continue evolving throughout Early Access as the systems grow and mature.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to increase the price slowly as new features and content are added. The Early Access price reflects the current scope, and future changes will match the game’s growth.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player impressions will guide tuning and expansion of the behavior systems, challenge curve, and general content direction. I’ll use forums, feedback channels, and community discussion to understand what’s working and what needs refinement. Development updates will highlight how feedback influences the game’s evolution.”

About This Game

Autumn’s Dungeoneering: The Adventurer’s Terrarium

Are you ready to be the hero of Xanrea?

Too bad.

You’re not the savior, the chosen one, or even the protagonist.
You’re just the idiot who creates the protagonist and then has to watch them live their best life without you.

Welcome to Terrarium Mode, where you observe, and your adventurer does literally everything else.

Create Your Adventurer (And Then Let Go)

Choose your class, stat spread, personality traits, elements, and name.
Make them smart, dumb, violent, friendly—your call.

Then you click “start,” and that’s it.
Control permanently revoked.
Camera locked on.
Hands off the wheel.

Your adventurer is alive now.
They’ll handle it.

A World That Moves Whether You Do or Not

Xanrea is a fully simulated world where:

  • Adventurers wander on their own

  • Monsters respawn with attitude

  • Towns operate like you don’t exist

  • Merchants judge your gear

  • Quests can be taken by someone else before your avatar arrives

You are not the focus.
You’re just watching a fantasy ecosystem from the wrong side of the terrarium glass.

Your Adventurer Has a Mind of Their Own

Powered by Utility AI, your avatar:

  • Wanders and explores

  • Shops for upgrades

  • Accepts quests (completing them later updates)

  • Fights monsters

  • Retreats, heals, or dies trying

  • Buys gear based on personality

  • Makes decisions you absolutely wouldn’t

They succeed, fail, panic, and improvise—all without your input.

It’s like watching a fantasy ant farm, except the ants have swords and terrible impulse control.

You Can Look—But You Can’t Touch

You see:

  • Inventory

  • Items

  • Skills

  • Stats

  • Hotbar

  • Equipment

  • Quest log

You cannot interact with any of it.
You are the observer, not the puppeteer.

You know how The Sims lets you control your characters?

Yeah.
Imagine the exact opposite of that.

Personality Controls Everything

Your adventurer’s behavior is shaped by:

  • Energy

  • Mind

  • Nature

  • Tactics

  • Identity

A calm, cautious mind will keep them alive.
A chaotic gremlin will make every trip to the forest a life-or-death gamble.

Either way, it’s your fault for how you built them.

Features

  • Terrarium Gameplay
Watch your adventurer live their chaotic fantasy life.

  • Autonomous Adventurer
    Smart enough to survive.
Dumb enough to keep things interesting.

  • Living World Simulation
Regions load, unload, and keep moving as the adventurer travels.

  • Combat & Loot
Real-time battles, drops, loot, leveling—handled by the avatar.

  • Shopping & Gear Progression
    They upgrade themselves.
    They buy things.
    They sell things.
    You just watch.

  • Personality-Driven AI
Their traits directly change how they behave.

  • Hands-Off Design
    No clicking.
    No micro-managing.
    No control.
    Just the show.

Why Play This?

Because deep down, you want to see:

  • a fantasy world that doesn’t revolve around you

  • adventurers that make choices driven by personality, not scripts

  • emergent moments you didn’t cause

  • fights you didn’t start

  • loot you didn’t earn

  • and a character living your dream life while you sit and watch

It’s strangely relaxing.
Occasionally chaotic.
Often hilarious.
And surprisingly addictive.

Welcome to the Terrarium.

Watch closely… your adventurer is already moving.
