BNSF Railway: It is one of North America’s – and the world’s – great railroad goliaths. Created through the merger of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe in 1995, the remarkable BNSF spins its rails across 32,500 miles and stretches through 28 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces.

Here’s your opportunity to experience the challenges, drama, and captivating diversity of contemporary BNSF railroading across three popular Train Simulator Classic routes – with BNSF Scenario Pack 01 from noted developer High Iron Simulations!

BNSF Scenario Pack 01 features ten new and authentic career scenarios and brings big-time North American railroading to life on a trio of famed ex-Burlington Northern main lines – the Bozeman Pass route and Montana Hi-Line route amid the “Big Sky Country” of Montana and the Stevens Pass route across the rugged Cascade Mountains of Washington State.

With BNSF Scenario Pack 01, you’ll experience intermodal, manifest freight, unit train, local, and switching operations, and you’ll take the controls of four types of BNSF Electro-Motive and General Electric second- and third-generation diesels to both battle daunting mountain grades and hustle tonnage at mile-a-minute speeds. With BNSF Scenario Pack 01, you will:

• Take the engineer’s seat in a powerful BNSF GE ES44DC to draw a mammoth unit oil train over the rugged summit of Bozeman Pass. From the cab of the lead unit, you will control diesels located on the head-end, mid-train, and on the rear of the train.

• Aboard a BNSF EMD SD70ACe, operate BNSF symbol freight H-PASLAU as it works eastbound over the ex-Northern Pacific Bozeman Pass line and handles pick-up and set-out work at the sprawling Trident (Montana) cement plant.

• On a wintry day on the Bozeman Pass route, take the throttle of a BNSF GE ES44DC on the point of an empty grain hopper train working its way east against the flow of priority traffic and descending the steep eastern slope of the historic pass.

• On BNSF’s ex-Great Northern fast-paced “Hi-Line,” hustle stack train S-SEALPC as it makes its long journey between the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest.

• After a crew and power change at Havre (Montana) on the Hi-Line, take the controls of a potent BNSF SD70ACe on the point of westbound Minneapolis-Pasco manifest freight H-NTWPAS for the run across Montana’s nearly endless open plains.

• Answer the call as engineer of BNSF local freight L-MON8145 as it employs the horsepower of a trio of veteran BNSF Electro-Motive SD40-2s to collect autumn grain and make setouts along the Montana Hi-Line.

• Experience one of North America’s most unique operations as you switch at the massive Boeing Aircraft plant at Everett (Washington) and operate a pair of BNSF EMD GP38-2s ever-so-carefully on the five percent grades of the BNSF branch line that serves the plant.

• In a challenging two-part scenario, take the throttle of BNSF priority vehicle train V-TACLPC as it makes a descent of the snowy east slope of unforgiving but magnificent Stevens Pass on its long journey from Tacoma to the Chicago area.

• Note: For full use, this scenario pack requires the Stevens Pass route, Montana Hi-Line: Shelby - Havre route, Bozeman Pass: Livingston - Three Forks & Trident route, SD70 V2 Volume 2 Loco Add-On, BNSF ES44DC Loco Add-On, and BNSF Locomotive Pack Add-On.
