Welcome to the world of Roots and Gears! Here, people are divided into two nations: the Heliots, who live under the Sun, and the Akhetis, who dwell beneath the mountains. The Heliots embrace harmony with nature, while the Akhetis pursue scientific progress. The Heliots value freedom, while the Akhetis follow the precepts of a cruel goddess.

You are a young mechanic from Helia, captivated by Akheti technology. For years, your nation has been separated from the underground city by a magical veil of Mist. But what happens when this veil disappears?
