Meow TD is a simple spin on the tower defense formula.
Try to make the perfect run in a mission grinding through hundreds of levels, seemingly without end, experimenting with what tower and upgrade combination you can make it the furthest.

Basic Mechanics

There is a rhythm of five wave types following each other. From normal waves, to low level mass types with tight formations to mice enemies with rockets boosting through your defense.

Enemies are yarn of multiple layers, each layer having a certain health and armor rating. Stronger yarn has more layers, to destroy an enemy, all layers need to be dealt with.

Towers

Each tower offers 10 linear upgrades with insane price increase to make each upgrade an worthy invest, sometimes introducing new abilities.

• Attack Cat - Basic starting tower, melee range, can hit two targets with one attack. Upgrades increase attack speed greatly.

• Flamer Cat - Medium ranged tower that shoots flames at yarn, igniting it, applying damage over time. Upgrades to area of effect damage, very effective against large tight groups of low level yarn.

• Lion - Advanced tower to deal with armored yarn (like rocks and iron plated yarn), attacks single targets, has slow attack rate, but great damage leaking through multiple layers of yarn. Upgrades add stun effect and area of effect damage.

• Tiger - Advanced tower with slow attack speed, but dealing line damage to multiple enemies, ability to insta kill certain yarn types.

• Mage Cat - Long range tower with magic type attacks, necessary for some enemies. Deals area of effect damage, upgrade to improve range, damage and projectiles. Later gets more powerful abilities.

• Pirate Cat - Can be placed on water, fires ice bombs to slow down enemies and deal magic damage. Upgrades to blast various types of projectiles in all directions. Can alter change its ammo.

Other bonus towers can be found during gameplay.

Cat City

Each cat has an associated housing in the cat city, resources gained during gameplay can be spend there to upgrade the houses. A new cat house level unlocks the next respective upgrade for that cat.

The city upgrades are permanent across all levels played and are your main progression through the game.

The city also offers other upgrades, like increasing the capacity of your loot chest.

Levels

You can choose from many different starting levels, varying in path length and layout, offering different challenging to mastering each level.

Progress is automatically saved every five waves and you can try to make it as far as possible in each level from your last save or focus on farming resources for your city upgrades.
