What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Augmental Puzzles is a collection of logic puzzles powered by our universal constraint solver. We are launching day one with Sudoku. We have a wide range of new puzzle modes we are developing which need feedback. As content is developed for those modes we need to help calibrate our difficulty, hints and presentation.

We plan to develop a range of puzzle modes including:
- Nonogram, Skyscrapers, Battleships (newspaper puzzle variant), Binary, Killer Sudoku and other popular logic based newspaper variants.
- 3 dimensional variants of these puzzles focusing on spatial augmentation. This will require a lot of feedback from our community to get the difficulty right as they will be new puzzle formats built for VR and MR.
- A realtime multiplayer co-operative puzzle solving experience (Based on level of community interest)

This is a fully self funded indie project, and we have enough funding for the full planned one year development period of Early Access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our goal is between six months to a year depending on audience reaction.

Monthly updates give us the opportunity to release new or improved puzzle modes and content to our community. We will also be polishing the overall experience as we go. If we receive strong feedback, we may take additional time to improve on things. The only major feature left to develop is the real time multiplayer elements.

Our launch window is flexible to account for feedback on new puzzle modes and difficulties in developing the multiplayer to a quality level we are happy. Our 1.0 launch will be simultaneous across all platforms, this may require us to delay based on commitments and timetables on those platforms.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The key differences:
- A range of new puzzle modes eg. Nonogram, Skyscrapers, Battleships (newspaper puzzle variant), Binary, Killer Sudoku
- Real time, multiplayer puzzle solving
- Amount of individual puzzles”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our foundational gameplay experience and core help features are all in place and ready to go.

Currently users can play and solve a wide range of Sudoku puzzles. They can also play a new Sudoku Daily Challenge and see how they fare on the leaderboard.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“By purchasing during Early Access, you are getting the game at a discounted rate. We do not plan to change the price during Early Access. At full launch the game price will increase.

Additionally, we want to reward our community for their time and feedback. Throughout the Early Access period, we plan to provide special promotional content specifically for active players. Some of this content will be unique to early access while other content will be purchasable by the community post launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to work with our players to refine our new puzzle modes and help calibrate the difficulty of content.

The game will feature an in-game feedback system for players to report bugs, give subjective feedback, and help us improve Augmental Puzzles. We will communicate development updates via Steam’s “Recent Events & Announcements” and the in-game menu. We also plan to use in-game polls during Early Access to help prioritize which puzzle modes we develop next.

We have a roadmap and a creative vision of what we want to build. Through monthly updates and feedback, we hope to deliver the best version of this game to our community.”

About This Game

Hand-set Sudoku, Nonograms and Minesweeper on beautiful boards that float right in your room. No guessing, no pressure, no rush - just you, the puzzle, and that quiet click of a deduction falling into place. Every puzzle is set by hand and verified to be unique. HUNDREDS of hand-set puzzles across every pack we have ever released, a fresh Daily Challenge every single day

Updates land regularly, please give us feedback during Early Access and help improve the game.

Sudoku

Where we started. Friendly 6x6 minis to giant 16x16 grids, with smart pencil marks, optional auto-clear, and a number tally that shows what is left to place.

Nonograms

Paint a picture as you solve. Row and column clues tell you which cells to fill, and the picture emerges from the logic. Smart clue highlighting, clear per-line error feedback, and Logitech MX Ink stylus support.

Minesweeper

Built for pure deduction: every clue on the board from the start, no fog of war, no lucky clicks. Boards run from a friendly 8x8 to a 50x50 wall of logic you can pin to the ceiling and take a week over.

A fresh puzzle every day

The Daily Challenge lands every single day, gentle on Monday and a proper head-scratcher by Sunday, rotating across modes and sizes. Post your time and climb the leaderboards.

Help that teaches

A hint lights up the cells that matter and names the technique, so the next one is yours. Wrong placements show every clash. Infinite undo, replay and cloud saves: mistakes cost nothing, and your puzzle waits patiently.

Built for your headset

Solve seated at your real desk in passthrough, or switch it off and sink into a calm virtual space. Seated or standing, no artificial movement, and text that stays razor sharp on a 6x6 or a 50x50.

Big puzzles. Tiny table. Endless calm.
