Rin is the daughter of a yakuza member who holds the manager's debt. At her father's request—which couldn’t be refused—she started working at the store. Coming from a privileged background where everything was handed to her, she has become the manager's responsibility to oversee.

Nao is the store's most experienced employee. She is married, with her husband driving her to and from work daily. Though once outgoing, her life has grown monotonous since marriage. Despite this, she maintains a kind and positive attitude toward others. Having not been intimate with her husband for over a decade, she remains sexually unfulfilled.
