Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MIND AGAINST NATURE is a systems-heavy survival game with a lot of moving parts—tribes, tech trees, fire propagation, AI learning, and more. We’re releasing in Early Access so players can start experimenting with the sandbox early, help us break things, and tell us what they love (or hate). The goal is to shape the game’s evolution alongside the community. Your feedback helps us balance systems, discover edge cases, and prioritize what features to expand on next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for at least a year, but this could change based on the feedback we receive and the complexity of the systems we build out. Our goal is not to rush toward “finished,” but to evolve the game into something genuinely unique and deeply replayable.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game is expected to expand significantly in terms of depth and variety. We plan to include:

Additional biomes and environmental hazards

More technologies spanning a longer timeline

Improved and more reactive AI tribe behavior

Trading, raiding, and diplomacy between tribes
A deeper world simulation, including weather and natural disasters

Secrets and lore tied to an ancient civilization that predates the player’s tribe

Basically, more systems, more emergent chaos, and more surprises. The foundation is there—we want to build upward, outward, and deeper.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A fully playable sandbox environment
Procedural world generation
A foundational tech tree with stone tools, fire, farming, and early metallurgy
Core crafting, harvesting, and survival mechanics
Basic AI creatures.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to increase the price over time as new features are added and the game becomes more complete. Early Access players will get the game at a lower price and be part of shaping its future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll be listening closely via the Steam forums and X. Community feedback will help shape everything from UI improvements to tech tree additions to how tribes behave. We’ll also be doing regular updates on X, including polls to let players weigh in on new systems and direction.”

About This Game

You are surrounded by idiots and deadly creatures. But you have something they don’t: a big, beautiful brain. Use it to dominate the past.

Survive by gathering the resources you need to unlock powerful technologies. Crush your enemies. Empower your allies. And shape the world as you see fit.

Set 15,000 years ago at the end of the Ice Age, this is a single-player sandbox survival game where you can go it alone, or join a tribe of NPC cavemen. Just don’t get too comfortable. Power shifts fast when others are watching your every invention.

Explore a procedurally generated world in a playful pixel art style. Craft tools, harness fire, start farms, and work your way through a sprawling tech tree that spans from stone tools to early metalworking and primitive power generation. But as you rise, so do others - tribes will learn from you, steal from you, and one day challenge your dominance.

There’s no hand-holding and no fixed path. Live as a solitary innovator, a tribe-leading tactician, or a fire-starting force of chaos. The world is yours to shape.

And buried beneath it all, there are whispers - clues that you may not have been the first to walk this path. Something older lies hidden, waiting to be uncovered...

KEY FEATURES:

  • 🌍 A procedurally generated world full of natural resources to discover and exploit

  • 🪓 Craft tools and unlock technologies from the Stone Age to early industry

  • 🧠 Join, leave, or form your own tribe - interact with dynamic AI tribes that evolve by observing your actions

  • 🔥 Survive and shape your environment with fire, farming, and clever use of tools

  • 🧱 Play your own way - no quests, no endgame, just pure open-ended discovery and survival

  • 🏺 Uncover traces of a lost civilization and wonder: were you really the first to think this way?
