Edge of Extinction is a real-time strategy game where positioning, formations, and decision-making define victory. Set across hostile plateaus suspended in space and time, the game challenges players to command their forces under constant pressure in battles where no terrain remains unchanged.

A War Engineered by the Galactic Federation

The Galactic Federation is a coalition of highly advanced alien species that manipulates emerging civilizations for its own purposes. Entire species are abducted and transported to remote battlegrounds—fractured worlds where survival is earned through combat.

These forced conflicts are not wars of choice. They are trials. Only the strongest factions endure.

Six Distinct Factions

Players can command one of six unique factions, each with its own visual identity, units, and strategic approach:

• Humans – adaptable and resource-efficient

• Venusians – specialized and environment-focused

• Arcturians – disciplined and technologically advanced

• Artificial Intelligence – precise, relentless, and optimized for control

• The Greys – unconventional tactics and alien warfare

• Reptilians – aggressive and force-driven

Each faction encourages a different playstyle, rewarding mastery and experimentation.

Tactical RTS Combat

Edge of Extinction emphasizes direct control over armies. Units can be organized into formations, repositioned on the battlefield, and issued precise commands in real time. Terrain deformation occurs dynamically during combat, altering sightlines and movement paths without acting as a weapon—forcing players to continuously adapt their strategy.

Victory depends on:

• Smart unit positioning

• Effective formation usage

• Resource management and timing

• Reading the battlefield as it evolves

Game Modes

• Campaign Mode – A focused three-mission campaign that introduces mechanics and narrative through in-game dialogue and structured objectives

• Custom Matches – Set up your own battles and experiment with different factions and strategies

• Survival Mode – Endure escalating enemy waves, currently progressing to round 11, with further expansion planned

Built to Evolve

Developed in Unity with a clean, readable low-poly art style, Edge of Extinction is designed as a growing RTS experience. Ongoing updates focus on refining gameplay systems, expanding modes, and improving presentation while staying true to classic real-time strategy fundamentals.
