Help Hoshino revive a beloved summer festival! Get to know funny neighbors: Explore a Japanese neighborhood, surf their quirky websites, and play unique minigames. In a summer filled with laughter, surprise and tears, one girl's dream to see her grandma smile again will make all the difference!

So... what’s a "danchi"? Basically, a place with a lot of neighbors! Or, more dryly, a Japanese mass housing complex. What kind of quirky people live in Hoshino’s danchi? Come on, let's meet a few!

Turn strangers... into neighbors!

It can be tricky to get an RSVP from the neighbors. Like Sizz the Egg Sizzler: who requires you to eat an egg fried on a hot metal slide before even considering coming to the festival. Or Krysta Rippley, a puddle fanatic who will only accept your invite after playing in the mud together. Then there's Pete Sweep, an old man who doesn’t even notice you because he is… sweeping leaves.

Bumping into flowers to smell them, collecting beads of condensation from iced tea, and listening to poo being flushed away… it’s these sensations that make up my very life in the danchi.
