The Lanterne of Light is intended to be a mature exploration of difficult and painful topics. Themes of abuse, emotional control, and psychological trauma are integral to the story. Several characters have either been subject to abuse in the past and they discuss it, or experience it during the story. This includes sexual abuse, violence and suicidal ideation, and subjugation of and violence towards vulnerable groups.

The Lanterne of Light - Chapter One is a preview of the full story coming in 2025. It contains the complete visual novel portion of the first chapter.
