What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Festival Inc. brings together festival building, artist booking and the wonderfully unpredictable business of keeping a crowd happy. We want to develop these systems with feedback from players building festivals in their own style.

Early Access will help us identify where the experience needs improvement, refine the balance and usability, and guide our priorities as development continues.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Festival Inc to be in Early Access for roughly 9–12 months, with a full release planned for around Q3 2027.

This is our best estimate rather than a fixed date. During Early Access we'll refine the existing experience, act on player feedback, improve stability and performance, and add more content and polish. If the timeline changes, we'll say so in our Steam announcements and update this section.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to build on the existing festival management experience with improvements to guest and staff behaviour, campaign balance, building tools and the clarity of management information.

We would also like to expand the range of buildings, decorations and festival events. The eventual scope will depend on development progress and player feedback, with a particular focus on making the game more polished, approachable and enjoyable.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes a 10-festival campaign and a Sandbox mode. Players can design festival grounds, place stages and paths, book artists, arrange camping, hire cleaners, medics and security, inspect individual guests, and manage tickets, finances and essential facilities.

The core festival-building and management systems are implemented, but balancing, usability and performance remain areas for improvement. Players should expect bugs and changes to systems as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price as the game develops and additional content and improvements are introduced. Any planned price changes will be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

““We plan to use Steam Discussions to gather bug reports, suggestions and feedback on the festival management experience. Hearing where players get stuck, which systems they enjoy and what happens in their festivals will help us prioritise improvements.

We also plan to share development updates and patch notes through Steam announcements. We can’t implement every suggestion, but community feedback will help inform the direction of development.”

About This Game

An empty field. An unforgettable weekend.

Build your dream music festival. Then keep the whole glorious mess running.

Festival Inc. puts you in charge of everything from the headline act to the last toilet roll. Design the site, book the talent and turn a patch of grass into a place people don't want to leave.

Make somewhere worth getting lost in.

Create a festival with its own personality. Build bustling food courts, lively bars, fairground corners and quiet places to catch your breath. Connect it all with paths, frame it with trees and decorations, and make room for the next big idea.

Behind the scenes, plan entrances, parking, power and essential facilities. Lease neighbouring fields to expand your ambitions, from a cosy gathering to a sprawling weekend escape.

Give them a reason to stay for the encore.

Book local talent and big-ticket headliners acrossrock, pop, electronic, folk, hip-hop, indie, metal and jazz. Schedule sets across your stages and build a lineup that brings your crowd together.

Watch performers take the stage and guests find their rhythm. As the sun goes down, the lights come on—and your field becomes a festival.

A little home away from home. With louder neighbours.

Build campsites, glamping retreats and campervan areas, with shops, showers and campfires to complete the weekend.

Your guests have their own tastes and priorities. Families, ravers, foodies and glampers want different things from the same patch of grass. Create areas that suit them, follow individual visitors and read their thoughts to find out what's working.

Hangovers, sunburn, dead phones, lost friends and muddy clothes? There's a facility for that.

The music is loud. The decisions are yours.

Hire and train cleaners, security and medics with individual traits, morale and energy. Keep queues moving, litter under control and guests out of trouble. Set ticket prices, balance running costs and decide whether that new attraction is worth a loan.

Then handle whatever the weekend throws at you: storms, health scares, artist tantrums, council inspections and surprise opportunities for secret sets. The festival MC will have something to say about it.

Want to intervene personally? Use your giant hand to pick up and move guests—or give unwanted visitors a one-way trip to the eviction zone.

Start small. Dream headline-sized.

Work through10 campaign festivals, from Somerset meadows to docklands, forests, desert, coast and mountains. Meet different objectives and lineup requirements, earn reputation and unlock new buildings on the road to the WorldSound Finale.

Or choose Sandbox and build without budget restrictions. Pause to perfect the plan, speed things up, or simply watch your festival come to life.

Your lineup. Your little world. Your glorious chaos.
