What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SBMFR is playable right now but I want to add more mechanics and settings. Early Access helps me gather player feedback and ideas helping me prioritize new features and work out what settings are fun. Over time, I’ll expand the game based on this input, giving players more ways to experiment and customize the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“untill ~november 2025”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I am planning to add a accounts system and a ranking system. I am also planning to add more settings and items.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently you should be able to play the game and change any of the Team settings without any game breaking errors.

Right now the UI(s) are functional but do not look good yet.

I have setup 1 dedicated server to test with (see join game ui) and it seems to be working as expected.

The Level Editor is working well. I am currently making improvements so that the map creation process is faster.

The "replay system"/ "battle log" are currently experimental. However it looks like its working so far.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“no the game will be free in early access and as a released game”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community by gathering feedback directly from players on Reddit, Discord and Steam. Players can share their ideas for new mechanics, settings, and features. I will then use their suggestions to prioritize updates and improvements.

I am planning to post updates once a major improvement (or several smaller improvements) are made hopefully at least once a month”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The "store assets" and the "libary assets" were made using chatgpt/gemini

additionally the bottom section of territory card images were made with chatgpt (the person, horse and cannon) see the last screenshot

I believe everything else was created by me/sourced from other websites

I also used chatgpt to help write/debug some code
