Moreover, when you hit on the rocks which may appear in front of you suddenly, your vehicles condition decreases based on your hit velocity. Drive fast and you take risk of a sudden death, drive slower and you take risk of failing your missions for not delivering on time.

To survive on this brutal environment of space, you need to earn money, increase your cargo space and buy rovers to increase your efficiency. Your efficiency is defined by your capacities of oxygen tanks, energy storage, vehicle condition. There are several kind of missions you can make. Each kind of mission requires different assets to be installed in your cargo space. Get a vehicle of large enough, divide your cargo capacities accordingly, and make several missions at the same time to maximize your outcome.

You can alternatively buy and sell goods between bases. This, again, strictly depends on your available cargo sapace.

So, the cargo capacity is at the center of your strategy. There are several ways to increase the capabilities of your vehicle. Modifications can be helpful for many enhancements.
