Varför Early Access?

“At this current state, we're confident you'll have fun with Cursed Companions! We have had some really funny laugh out loud moments. However, there are still a lot of content and features we want to add. We also need your feedback to help with game balance, phrases used to activate the spells, curses and so on. There is so much stuff more we want to add!”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We estimate that game will be fully complete in 6 months. We want to ensure a great complete game. And it all depends the players' feedback too.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Our plan for the full version of Cursed Companions is for it to have more monsters, more accursed lands, dungeon locales, more items and rooms so that there will be a lot more depth and replayability.

We plan to have a Team Mode - an 8v8 mode that we believe will provide more chaotic fun.
Another feature we plan to have is a Traitor Mode - an 'Among Us' style game mode where some players will secretly attempt to sabotage the others.

We plan to also add more support for more languages, so that other non-English speakers can play this game in their own language.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Cursed Companions is fully playable with up to 8 players in co-op mode. All the main game mechanics, voice mechanics and base content is complete. There are 3 main maps as of now, coupled with a procedurally generated dungeon, the current gameplay experience is varied and fun. Most monsters, items and facilities to upgrade are already in this current build.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“We don't plan to change our price.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We need the community to help with the game balance and content. As the game uses a Voice as a main mechanic, we believe that there are many monsters/items/features that can benefit from ideas from the community. We're watching content creators and looking at your reactions on Discord, Twitch and so on. We're looking forward to see new tactics and a meta emerge, they're great for inspiring new ideas for creatures and items to improve the game play and fun factor.”

Om detta spel

Cursed Companions is a co-op horror game that listens to every word the players are saying. Every player is cursed with a forbidden word, like “Okay” or “I think”. If anyone says it, the player takes damage.

When you say the right words, you can heal your friends or disarm traps.

"Mommy loves you... I'm sorry, I'm sorry... IT'S IN THE BOOK! IT'S IN THE BOOK!" - MichiMochievee

But when you say the wrong words (i.e. "Follow me!") you could wipe out your team.

Dungeons are randomly generated, every run is a brand-new experience.

Over twenty different monsters to encounter and ‘befriend’.

The Foul Moth

Watch your mouth! The Foul Moth punishes players who swear.

The Meatgrinder

Roast or get roasted! Shout “Who’s your daddy!” to send the Meatgrinder packing!

The Bride

Scare The Bride away! Bad pickup lines and awkward confessions are your best defense!

Team up and tackle a variety of co-op modes. Battle bosses in two standalone stages or dive into tougher dungeons in Challenge Mode. Push your limits in Endless Mode to see how long you can survive.

Monsters aren’t the real threat in Traitor Mode; your so-called friends are. It’s a chaotic social deduction mode where Traitors secretly sabotage the mission.

But don’t be too obvious as others can call an ‘Emergency Meeting’ to vote you out!

Unlock unique skins as rewards for your greatest achievements! Kill bosses, survive brutal challenges, or simply get killed in unique circumstances.

Customize your home and let your friends see how cursed your taste really is!


  • Voice Control
    The game is 'always listening', the game uses voice-activation game mechanics.

  • Everyone gets a forbidden word
    Like “Okay” or “I think” or “Didn’t”. If anyone says it, you take damage.

  • Say the right words to get ahead
    Use your voice to light your torch, to disable traps or shoo monsters away.

  • Say the wrong words to your peril
    Your voice can awaken monsters, hurt you and even your teammates. 

  • Procedural Dungeons
    Every run is a brand new experience. The dungeons go deep, so try not to get lost!

  • Co-op or Traitor Mode
    Play as a team in Co-op Mode or find the Traitor in an ‘Among Us’-style Mode

  • Magical Items
    Buy equipment like the Teleport Stone, Ice Wand, Stink potions and more. Use the equipment in your own creative ways to try and survive the dungeons and fend off monsters.

  • Unique Monsters
    Voice-activated monsters, creatures that track by vision or sound and many more interesting monsters to meet.

  • Language Mod Support
    Currently only supports English with upcoming betas in German, French, Spanish and Chinese. Will provide easy instructions to add your own language using alternative language voice models.

  • Early Access will arrive in Q4 2025
