Going Your Own Way is a visual novel that allows you to make choices that will help a young man trying to understand his place in the world while dealing with the recent ending of a long-term relationship, the challenges of modern dating, and a toxic workplace.

This isn't a fantasy.  You aren't wealthy or famous.  You aren't an expert with the ladies or extraordinarily buff.  You are fairly average and were leading a pretty average life until you took your fiancée to a tropical island only to return alone. 

Now you are picking up the pieces and trying to move on as best you can.  You work an increasingly frustrating corporate desk job.  You rent an apartment you can no longer afford by yourself.  Sometimes you are lonely; sometimes you can't stand people. 

In this story, you will visit not-so-exotic places such as your office, the gym, local bars, restaurants, and coffee shops.  What path do you want to take?

Want to stay in shape?  Maybe visit the gym.

Want to meet someone?  Perhaps check out the bar scene.

Maybe after a long day at work, you just want to head home, play video games, and be alone.

You will meet and interact with people – some good and some... less so.  What are the rewards or consequences for how you treat people?  The choice is yours.

What does your future hold for you? Should you take advice from friends and family?

Are you a relationship guy who wants to hold out to meet someone special, or are you lonely and willing to just settle for your turn with someone to avoid being alone?

Maybe you are the type that prefers to avoid people or relationships altogether and instead be a man who goes his own way?

Going Your Own Way pokes fun at the modern dating environment, relationships, and corporate workplace. 

Do you lean blue-pill or red-pill?  Will your view of the real-world influence your decisions?

Going Your Own Way is based in a realistic but fictional world. It is intended for mature individuals who are capable of handling the ups and downs and situations that occur in real life.

This includes such things as:
People drinking alcohol
People smoking
People occasionally talking about sexual activity
People using foul language
People getting emotional with one another and saying or doing things that may be harsh

The story may include implied sexual activity (no explicit content), short scenes that include violence (think fist fights between rivals or someone slapping another during a heated moment), open and direct language that may be disrespectful at times, and characters in various states of dress (no explicit nudity, think a man or woman wrapped in a towel after a shower).

These situations are depicted for dramatic and comedic effect within a fictional but plausible story.
