Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«We want to develop BLAMMO! in tandem with the community (as cheesy as that sounds it's true), as Roguelites require such a large amount of iteration to get balance feeling just right and the best people to help get that feeling right is the community.

We want to straddle a few different sub genres - like Inventory Management, Action Shooter, Roguelite and a heavy does of Narrative, so ensuring they all blend together well will take a lot of feedback and iteration.

As a Studio we have always relied on a large amount of player feedback to tune our games (for other titles we do 100s of private external playtests), and this is an exciting way for us to get that feedback from the public and really fine-tune this title.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«This is our first Early Access but we expect Early Access to last around 6-9 months, depending on feedback and our content rollout.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«We plan to have the full version contain more weapons, characters, ships and enemies. So the scope of the game should increase via access to more content. But hey maybe during this process we find out less is more?! That's why we're excited by Early Access for this. However the gameplay and core loop should remain the same.

As the game design is still under development and we haven't shared anything with the public we are unsure exactly which elements of the game will receive the most content updates.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The current state of the game is in pre-alpha and has a simple game loop with placeholder UI. It's fun already but we plan to update this as development proceeds and look to release this for players when it's more robust.»

Vil spillet være priset annerledes under og etter tidlig tilgang?

«The goal is to keep this as a low priced title even as we reach 1.0 however we will start with a lower introductory price during the Early Access period.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«We'll be sharing regularly on SMG's social channels (X, Youtube, Tiktok) and the Steam community page to gauge feedback on ideas and openly develop this game with everyone. We will also be hosting playtest sessions and feedback rounds. Again these will be organised via our social channels.»

Why Early Access?

SMG has been heads down on larger titles under NDA for the last 3 years and we’re using this game as a release valve to have fun with open development with the community.

Meet Cho & Matey

Cho is now seeking fame and fortune with her sassy talking AI companion Matey along for the ride.

Cho seeks out The Monolith, a reconfiguring multi-room box of danger, mystery, enemies and LOOT! to claim the biggest haul ever, The Key To The Universe.

We want new ships to be a constant surprise for players. Keep playing to unlock more unique starter loadouts and configurations and explore deeper into customisations that change the way you play.
