Why Early Access?

“My plan is to release 'Beneath Her Gaze' chapter by chapter and see how the community reacts in real time. Even though it's a linear story, it's still a work in progress and I'm actively writing it. That's why the community, with its praise and its tough critiques, will play a key role in where the story goes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“That's also up to the community. If 'Beneath Her Gaze' generates a lot of buzz and people are really getting into the story, I'll make it a priority. But if it stays under the radar, the pace will be slower. So, we could be looking at 1 year... or 3. Just remember, I'm an artist who loves to draw, first and foremost”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The biggest difference is just going to be the number of chapters (or pages, as we call them in the game). I'm not planning to add any new gameplay features, and the game will still be mostly linear. But the game will be completely finished once the main story is wrapped up. So, if there are 2 chapters right now, I'd say we need about 3 more to finish it. This means more art and more music are needed, and that takes time.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I would say the current version covers about 35 to 40% of the story. Although I haven't intentionally finalized the script, I don't want the game's total playtime to exceed 2 hours. Since we already have 30 to 40 minutes of gameplay, there's still 60% of it left. So, the game's story is currently 30 to 40% complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will always be 100% free to play. Through my crowdfunding campaign, I offer some exclusive extras for supporters, like the game's artwork in full resolution and other bonus paintings, but the core game will always be available at no cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“A great way for the community to participate is by leaving a review on the game's Steam page. Beyond that, you are always welcome to contact me privately or join our communities on other social media channels.”
