«Cavern Kings has always been about making the players happy, and I intend on continuing this trend. At first there were a handful of public betas, then we had several private betas available on Kickstarter, and now it's time for Early Access. The feedback from the community has been tremendously helpful in shaping the game and I hope players can help meld the game into a better product via feedback.»

«Cavern Kings will be Early Access until a final build is released. It's difficult to say how long that will take but my current goal is to fully release the game by the end of 2014.»

«As of writing this, Cavern Kings has 4 player characters, 2 bosses, 25 powerups and a plethora of other things. The final version will have 12 characters, a handful more bosses, 50 powerups and a ton more content and polish.»

«Cavern Kings is currently in closed beta 20, and every beta has been available to the public in some shape or form. If I really had to give a guess, I'd say the game is roughly 65% complete, as most of the content I still need to add isn't all that difficult or time-consuming.»

THIS GAME IS INCOMPLETE AND NO LONGER IN DEVELOPMENT

However, it it mostly playable in it's current state!
Maybe some crashes here and there but definitely no multiplayer.

Cavern Kings is an infinite action platformer designed to make every playthrough unique and interesting.

Inspired by action-packed games like Vlambeer's Super Crate Box and the increasing difficulty aspects in Risk of Rain, Cavern Kings aims to explode with special effects in classical arcade fashion and create interesting synergies with its powerup system.

A dozen playable characters with special abilities
Randomized terrain and monster generation
Weapons that play and feel unique
Completely unnecessary amount of explosions
Never-ending difficulty that gets harder as you progress
Many big, bad, boss monsters ready to crush you
Beautifully crisp and lively pixel art
A grand total of 50 powerups to help you dig deeper
