Meat Train is an open world zombie game where you operate a train thats uses flesh as fuel. Explore a bleak landscape and scavenge for weapons and scrap metal to upgrade the train. Your mission is to destroy GRM: a rogue AI mega factory that destroyed the world and turned everyone and into monsters.

„This game is mostly developed by 1 person, releasing in Early Access will allow me to build a community that can provide testing and feedback. The game has reached a point in development where it is fun to play but still far from complete, so getting people playing the game and giving unbiased feedback will help me prioritise what is salient and point to the stengthes and weaknesses of the game.“

„The final version of Meat Train will include more detailed word with more monuments to explore, more zombie variants, enemy types. More weapons. More story elements and dialogue. More upgrades for the train.“

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„The current version features a big open map with plenty of monuments to explore with varying levels of loot and difficulty. There is a handful of enemies you will face throughout the world, not just zombies.

The game is hardcore meaning you lose everything and start again upon death, but there is a progression "skeleton" system where you unlock "bones" that modify your next playthrough in various ways, e.g Zombies explode when headshot OR Zombies drop twice as much meat but have double health. This system creates good replayability and I plan to extend it further adding more bone modifiers as time goes on.“

„I plan to gradually raise the price after major updates or upon the full release.“

„I intend to work closely with players through Steam and the Community Discord Server to address any issues or reasonable feedback. Although I have a pretty solid vision for the final version, I am excited to see what ideas people have for the game.“

**Explore and try to survive in a Dystopian World**

Find yourself in a wasteland full of zombies, monsters and machines that want you dead. You start with a melee weapon and an oxygen tank. Collect meat from zombies to feed the train, you will need the train to survive the night, unless you are really good at running from zombies.

The world is full of monuments to explore and loot, the further you venture from the starting farm area, the better the loot you will find - but also the harder the enemies will become. There are a variety of horrors to experience in this world, including towering monsters, enraged zombie bulls, heat-seeking explosive drones, swarms of robot spiders and many more.

Upgrade the Meat Train

Collect scrap by breaking crates and destroying machines. The scrap can be used to repair and upgrade the train. There are a variety of upgrades to unlock which you will need to survive, including:
- Auto-turrets to protect you and your train
- Oxygen Station to refill your oxygen tank
- Speed and armour upgrades to make the train go faster and take more hits
- Meat motorbike to help you explore faster
- Radio to make the wasteland a little more comfortable
- Many more which I will leave for you to discover for yourself...

Hardcore Replayability & Gun Shop

Meat Train is a semi-hardcore, "run" based game.

When you die (and you will) you loose the loot you have collected but you keep money earned for all the kills you got and meat & scrap collected during your run. Money can be spent in the gun shop to unlock new weapons and gamble on a mystery weapon for your next run.

Destroy the evil AI factory that destroyed the world: GRM

If you manage to master the world and mechanics of Meat Train, you might have a chance at actually beating the game. This is intended to be very difficult (even on easy mode), requiring a lot of hard lessons and preperation in order to destroy the factory. Most won't even make it to the gates of GRM.

The final goal of the game is to destroy the evil AI mega-factory that ruined our world.
