As a solo developer, I thrive on creating games in collaboration with the community. My previous titles, Love of Magic and Morningstar, evolved significantly thanks to player feedback and regular updates. With Wings of Empire, I aim to continue this approach. Players can join our active Discord server with thousands of members to share feedback, catch previews, and be part of shaping the game’s development.

Based on previous projects, I estimate 12 months in Early Access, with each act taking ~2-3 months to develop. This pace may adjust based on feedback and development progress.

Right now you’ll get to experience Acts 1-3, but the full game will hopefully contain a further 3 acts. I intend to keep adding new content at a steady pace, expanding the story, introducing new characters, and fleshing out the sandbox gameplay. Along the way, your feedback will help shape the game—whether it’s tweaking balance, refining features, or polishing the experience.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access build spans Act 1-3, covering 60 in-game days, sandbox content, and 8 love interests. Players can expect approximately 3 hours of story-focused gameplay.

Yes, the game will be priced differently. During Early Access, Wings of Empire will have a lower price as a thank-you to everyone who supports me and helps shape the game during development. When the game is closer to completion, the price will increase to reflect the added content and polish. Early supporters are a huge part of this journey, and this is my way of showing appreciation for your trust and feedback.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

I’ve found that involving the community is the best way to make a great game, and I plan to continue that with Wings of Empire. For my previous games, Love of Magic and Morningstar, I released new beta content 1-2 times a week, and the amazing community on Discord helped by providing feedback on bugs, balancing, and new features. I’ll be doing the same here—beta testers get early access to updates, and once an Act is fully tested and polished, it will move to the Default branch for players who prefer a complete and focused experience. This collaborative process has worked wonderfully, and I’m excited to continue building this game with you!
