Why Early Access?

“I'd love to get feedback from players on Steam about (a) the balance of the levels, and (b) which puzzles they like the best. This will help inform development for the second half of Talk to Me Human.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“My aspiration is to complete the full version of Talk to Me Human within 6 months of its Steam Early Access release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Talk to Me Human is planned to contain roughly twice the content of Early Access. The Early Access release contains Acts I and II of the adventure, and the full release should also contain Acts III and IV. Each Act is a series of narrative and gameplay levels chronicling one slice of the adventure. I'd also like to add achievements to provide some extra fun challenges for advanced players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Talk to Me Human contains Acts I and II of the adventure in fully playable form. These include over 75 levels, of which over 25 are gameplay (the rest are narrative).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the current plan is offer Early Access at a slightly discounted price vs the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Direct Early Access feedback is available in-game with a text area and star rating after each gameplay level. I read all the feedback and make adjustments to gameplay, and this feedback factors into the design of future levels as well. In addition, if possible, I'd like to let interested Early Access players try early versions of future levels.”
