About This Game

A foraging, RPG, life-sim hybrid

Explore a sprawling wilderness full of secrets as you rebuild a run-down mountain village. Set out on expeditions in the morning, and wind down in the afternoon - in a flowing cycle of foraging, selling goods, and socializing at the edge of society.

SUSU (previously known as 'Samurai Sundries') is a casual single-player foraging RPG where time moves at your own pace. Form close bonds with craftsmen, farmers and traders who'll create valuable sold goods while you embark on wilderness expeditions to mine, gather and hunt down the materials they need.

Foraging, crafting, and sale

Wake up, and head out to gather. The surrounding wilderness is bursting with bounty, and becomes even richer as you play. Set out on expeditions to remote, untouched areas to gather the rarest of resources. 

A new day reveals new paths, and new ways to gather and explore. Cultivate the wilderness carefully, and optimize the space and resources it provides you.
When out of energy, use the rest of the day for training, upgrading and socializing.

Rebuilding a village reclaimed by the wilderness

The resources you gather allow you to rebuild unique buildings in the village - unlocking new venues of gameplay and income. Set up workshops to process items you foraged to increase their value, and organize your storage.

Expand and decorate your store to attract more customers.

Unlock activities such as farming, sword training at the dojo, or fishing.
Customize a traditional Japanese home, and decorate the village.

Partake in local events, such as the weekly themed marketplace.

Progressing the overall restoration of the village attracts new villagers to Susu - each unlocking new gameplay-affecting perks as your relationship with them increases.

A misfit group of characters, doing their best

The full game will feature 12+ characters to meet (and date). Experience the growth of a tight-knit community as more and more people move in. try to coexist, escape their past lives, and start over in Susu.

RPG elements and casual combat

Whether you're foraging, woodcutting, mining, fishing, or hunting - each stat levels up over time, allowing you to gather more effectively.

Learn the way of the sword - and engage in combat challenges.

Daytime cycle with no hurry

In Susu, the day is divided into phases, and time only advances when you run out of energy and decide to rest. Explore how long you like, at your own pace.

The journey doesn't end with restoring the village. Your time spent in the wilderness will reveal the true nature of Susu Mountain, unlocking deeper mechanics and tougher challenges.

You can optimize every moment for profit and gather riches - or take it slow, forge unbreakable bonds with your peers, and create a thriving community at the edge of society.
