What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is a passion project of mine that I will like to keep updating and improving it. Feedback from players would be really helpful for tunning balance, fixing bugs, or hearing new perspectives and ideas from the community. The game will be fully playable from day one of early access, but there's still a long way to go!

I would also like to consider ideas that could arise in the future, that may change existing mechanics or add new ones, nothing is set in stone!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 6/12 months. But I plan on keeping it in early access longer if I find new ideas that I would like to add to the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more content:
- more maps
- more skills for towers, trees, buildings, etc.
- more trees
- more mob types
- new economy buildings
- more relics

Also we plan to have most of the bugs fixed, better performance after final wave (100), and changes and Ideas that could come along the way or through the early access process.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Base content and mechanics:

- Twelve maps: each map also has a number of parameters to play with (number of starting mobs, starting relic, etc.)
- The final wave is 100, you still can keep going if you'd like to, but performance may drop after that wave depending on the map/parameters/number of mobs/etc.
- Ten distinct mobs plus the final boss
- Tower base stats/skills
- Four trees (special towers)
- Economy (all with their own stats/skills): village, houses, church, cemetery, merchant
- Twelve relics
- Friendly ghosts”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“If you have any suggestions, ideas, feedback or encounter any bugs, there's a button for it in the game. This will help improve the game overall, since any idea (even if it's not added to the game in the end) could help better understand the game and steer it to a better and maybe unexpected direction!”

About This Game

Tower One is a tower defense game where your towers gain experience and level up by defeating the monsters that come running through the path towards your village.

Each tower gains stat points (damage, attack speed, range, splash), and skill points (slow, crit, fire, etc.) when leveling up, and you choose to upgrade whatever you want.

All buildings (tower, village, houses, farms, tombs, corpses, planted trees, etc.) also level up and have their own stats and skills.

Balance spending resources into towers or building your economy (houses, farms, get the merchant, implement taxes on your poor villagers, etc.).

When a mob reaches the village you loose lives, and a corpse appears on the map that we can plant a tree on it (unique towers which level up or 'grow' on their own) or bury it to convince his soul to help up as a friendly ghost on our battle.

Can you get to and destroy the final boss?
