About This Demo



The Monster King is Back!

The Monster King is back and has stolen all of the Wizard's precious Artefacts. They must be retrieved! Set off on an awesome adventure to slay the Monster King and take back what is yours. Fortunately the Wizard has knowledge of all different magics, so experiment by combing them together and creating new spells. Armed with only the most powerful of arcana, defeat bosses and obtain different relics as you explore every hand-crafted room, within procedurally generated levels, filled with a huge variety of enemies.

Time of the Wizard is a culmination of the best bits from The binding of Issac, Enter the Gungeon to create the ultimate twin-stick shooter roguelike. Every run is unique from the level itself and the rooms within to the spells you cast and the Artefacts that effect them. Be warned however, the creatures of the Monster King are tough and if you end up defeated then you'll have to start all over again.



  • Explore Unique hand-crafted rooms within procedurally generated levels. Find new enemies, items and secrets along your journey to the depths below
  • Combat foes with twin-stick bullet hell action - Cast spells and exploit different enemies weaknesses to maximize your damage output.
  • Collect unique and fun artefacts to enhance your build. Every relic has a special effect that can completely change your run, choose wisely.
  • Create the spells you want to use by combining the various different elements together. They grow more powerful along with you as you progress further into the dungeon.

Demo Information


Time of the Wizard is still in it's early infancy so please be aware that bugs maybe appear and we will be working hard to fix them as fast as we possibly can.

How to play:
Time of the Wizard has the basic WASD and Mouse controls you'd expect from any game of this genre, left click to shoot and right click to dash. The main unique feature, the spell crafting wheel, is opened and closed with spacebar. TOTW also has limited controller support, again this is a very early look at what I hope to be a fun and enjoyable game so there is still many issues present. To create a spell you must open the spell wheel, with spacebar or the right stick on Xbox controller, select up to 3 elements then close it. Thank you and I hope you enjoy!
