About This Game

SCAVENGER ZERO is an upcoming 2D mech action game with roguelike elements. Set in a 30 day time loop, the player works as a freelancing mercenary amidst a large scale galactic war. The missions you complete, the allies and enemies you create, and the choices you make will determine the outcome of the universe.

BECOME A MERCENARY. EXPLORE ALIEN PLANETS.

You'll be sent to a variety of different planets to complete missions for their clients. The planets are randomly generated each time you land, with different points of interest and a fresh exploration experience each time.

THOUSANDS OF PARTS, ACCESSIBLE MECH BUILDING.

The creation of a mech doesn't require analyzing spreadsheets of information and stats. The downsides of your builds can be offset using items you collect during your missions. Any build is viable. There are hundreds of unique parts allowing for thousands of possible combinations.

A CONFLICT OF GALACTIC SCALE.

As you explore, time passes. The limited number of pilots in the star system will dynamically fight each other based on their alignments, relationships, and more. The player can respond to ongoing events in a variety of ways. Do you step in and try to bring peace to the warring factions? Do you just let it play out? Or do you bide your time, wait, and strike when the enemy is weak?

A BLEND OF LO-FI AND HEAVY METAL.

The soundtrack mixes together different genres of music. There is calm, lo-fi music during down time, which ramps up and explodes into heavy metal during combat.

FIND THE TRUTH, SAVE THE WORLD.

Each faction has their own agenda, their own views on the world and how it should be run. Depending on who you side with, a variety of different endings can be achieved.

... Or, you can take the world for yourself, and burn it all to the ground.
