Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We expect Share-o-matic to stay in Early access for a period of 3-6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version already features all core functionality:

- Share (Send and Receive) files to contacts directly
- Sharing Hub (Pre-approved list of files for your friends to download) (requires TURBO DLC)
- Full encryption and privacy-related features
- Settings adjustment
- English Language

As we did with our previous Early Access Title, we plan on involving the community by an open feedback discussion (via our discord and the Steam forum) so that we can assess better which feature to prioritize both in terms of performance and user experience. General improvements and bugfixes are planned during the full early access phase and beyond.

Additional features we plan on adding (depending on feedback) in the final version are:

- UI customization
- More language localization
- Open sourcing a minimal version of the punch-through server so that users that want to deploy their own punch-through server, can do so.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Share-o-matic can already send and receive files between users, with end-to-end encryption, and without any configuration needed on anybody's side. The sharing hub is also fully functional though it can certainly be improved.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Share-o-matic will still be free to use with some limitations (at this moment, 50MB per file) requiring the Share-o-matic TURBO DLC in order to unlock all features.

Limitations may change during the Early Access period.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We need your feedback to:

- ensure Share-o-matic speed is sustainable across a wide selection of connections, internet service providers, and network topologies.
- ensure that Share-o-matic User Experience is at the same level of our other products that have undegone Early-Access
- to create the Sharing-hub feature in a way that engages you

About This Software

Privacy Focused

Share-o-matic is built with privacy in mind. Nobody can see what you're sending and your files are never stored on any server. A technical description on how we achieve this, is available on our official website (link available in the sidebar)

End-to-end Encrypted

Your files are encrypted before they're sent, and they're decrypted at destination using E2EE.

No port Configuration Needed
Share-o-matic uses the hole punching technique so you don't have to open any port or configure your computer or router at all. Share-o-matic does all the work, and if your network is heavily filtered, a (slower) fallback is also available (provided that Steam works too!)

Free to use!

Share-o-matic is free to use up to 50MB per file. If you like and would like to support us, need to send larger files, or would like many additional features, consider purchasing the Share-o-matic Turbo DLC which allows you to send any file to your Steam friends!
