Synopsis

Almohadín: escape from the basement is a hard platformer game featuring fun mechanics, a variety of levels and enemies, and multiple ways to complete each stage! It also has an intriguing story that will captivate the reader. The Basement holds many mysteries, and Almohadín must take risks and uncover them to find a way out into the outside world. Join him on his adventure!

Gameplay

Variety of Levels: This game features 60 levels. You’ll face many different enemies, defeat bosses, escape disasters, and save the basement's inhabitants while pursuing your ultimate goal. Making the right decisions will help you overcome each challenge!
Difficulty: Escaping the basement won’t be an easy task. However, game’s difficulty is balanced to reward the most skilled players and offer moments of respite, with simpler and more fun levels interspersed between the tough ones, creating a balance between frustration and entertainment.
Easy Controls: High complexity, easy controls: Choose your preferred keys to play using the control selector. This game can be played with just 5 keys and left-click.
Speedrun Mode: Test your skills by trying to complete each level as quickly as possible. Infinite replayability! Compare your personal bests with other players in the global ranking. Develop your best strategy to break records and reach the top of the leaderboard!
New Content: Extra levels will be added periodically. With each new update, more challenges will await you.

Narrative and Art

Story: Almohadín is a pillow that suddenly came to life, transforming from an inanimate object into a vessel for a soul. Driven by curiosity, he decided to leave the room where he was. That's when he discovered the macabre world he was immersed in: The Basement. Dark, cold, damp. Violence reigns in every corner. Most inhabitants are in a deplorable mental state, except for a few who try to help Almohadín survive and uncover the truth. At some point, Almohadín learns something that changes everything: A legend says that by reaching the top floor of the basement, it is possible to escape to the outside world, the ideal place for any being. Motivated by this tale, Almohadín is determined to escape the basement as quickly as possible and will do whatever it takes to try. Story is divided into 13 acts, each with significant events that shape Almohadín’s development as a character: from his existential crisis to his bizarre battles against monsters that want to kill him.
Visual Novel: Discover Almohadín’s story and his escape from the basement while meeting charismatic, mysterious, and funny characters. Some will try to help you, while others will try to stop your journey. Between the game’s levels, you’ll delve deeper into the context of the plot. All basement inhabitants have something to say! Each act of the story is tied to the gameplay. Full script includes over 400 lines of pure text.
