Why Early Access?

“Bot slash Bot builds on the community playing the game. With dedication to our speedrunners as well as casual players we want to deliver an experience that suits both. To make sure that we can deliver on this promise we want to include players into the active development of the game, while making finishing touches to the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Not for too long. We are already working on the upcoming content but want to take our time making it as fun as possible. Our estimation for the Full 1.0 Release is at the start of 2027, but that can always change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be packed with more content but also quality of live improvements. We want to add more accessibility options for our players, add controller support and get Steam Deck verified.
The final extent of additional content is not yet decided but we want to make Bot slash Bot a full game experience from start to finish. More Bots to slash, an additional area with a bossfight and even more exploration into other gameplay aspects are in the making.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is about 70% finished and includes a lot of the content we originally planned. For more info about what that entails please check the "About this Game" section.

There will be a roadmap coming soon too.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will increase somewhat after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have been listening to our players since the launch of our first playtest and we’ll keep doing so in the future. When devising future content, features etc. we want to include the community in the process and collaborate. We have plans and a vision, but are very open for suggestions and ideas on how to improve the game!
The easiest way to reach us is per our community Discord, but we’ll also be on the lookout elsewhere!”

About This Game

You click, you dash, you slash.

Slice your way right into the action with simple controls. Your Dash is your attack: click the enemy, defeat the enemy.

It doesn't stay that straightforward though: the enemies get trickier, their masses grow in number and your environment becomes more perilous. Easy to learn / harder to master.

Step into the One-Hit Hell.

Every enemy is destroyed in one slash. But don't get ahead of yourself. You're a Glass Cannon: destructive but prone to shatter.

In this Instant-Death experience you should watch your step to not be caught easily. You fight alone / they are many.

Run it back.

Got knocked down? Get back up! Could you achieve a faster time? Make a run with as few dashes as possible? A combination of both?

Keep charging in and improve your times or try out the different ways to play Bot slash Bot. Prove yourself: you / the world.

You are free.

The system keeping you in check has lost connection to your robot. Trapped in the maze-like guts of a colossal oil rig you quickly pick up your weapon and try to escape your corroding prison.

Fight with your dash. Slash your way through your former crew mates. It's all about speed / time is running out.

Slash your enemies with precision.

Danger Alert! The oil rig fights back with everything it has.

Watch out for machinery that has been converted into combat equipment and robot workers turning against you.

The hot furnace spits its fire, oil streaks make you slip and the building is on the verge of collapse. Watch your every step / it could be your last.
