About This Game

Ignifugo is a top-down action-roguelike with elements borrowed from the auto-battler genre. Choose your path through biomes with procedurally generated maps as you control a combat shell with slots for placing upgradable units of different classes.

Select shells and unlock new ones. If you defeat THE FLAME with a shell you unlock difficulty levels: incandescence. They add modifiers to the run, from enemy health variation to influencing map generation.

Who knows what might happen if someone beats the highest incandescence..

Add units to the shell, which trigger their abilities automatically. Control the shell to avoid incoming hits.

Borrowing from the auto-battler genre, each unit has abilities, classes and can be leveled to gain health and abilities. Unlock class bonuses when placing units of the same class. Units are damaged individually. If all units break your shell shatters and reveals the core – a second playable character which without access to unit abilities.

Your shell and units regenerate after a fight, your core does not.

Finishing biomes is no breeze, 60+ enemies, elites and bosses stand in your way. Defeat bosses and elites for item crystals which contain passive items.

Prepare for heated battles if you want to stand against THE FLAME.

120+ items can be found as rewards from elites, bosses and map encounters. Passive items apply permanent benefits, consumables trigger one-time effects, active items grant abilities and melee weapons unlock a way of outputting damage actively. Create millions of builds by combining items with your units.

If you want a shot against THE FLAME, smart choices matter!

Runs and fight are randomly generated. Select the right path for your build in your pursuit of THE FLAME. Choose wisely, as some actions modify the HEAT LEVEL - dynamically changing the difficulty. Higher heat reaps better rewards, but makes the game harder.
