Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

'I consider Rodina to be in "ongoing development". This means that I will keep adding new features and game content, even after the game comes out of Early Access.

Many Early Access games have a set feature list and definite end-point. This is not the case for Rodina, which is more reminiscent of games like Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress, where you could imagine features being added forever, and designations like "Released" and "Beta" are somewhat arbitrary.'

'As I mention below, I'm currently working on a Roadmap which will take me out of Early Access. This roadmap will take me through 2022.'

'Rodina is currently a "full game" in the sense that it is meant to be played from start to finish, and that there are minimal bugs. You can explore the entire solar system, fight with hundreds of enemy Xenos (both in FPS and Ship combat), create your own race of Robot Babies, and investigate dozens of journals and books giving you the game's backstory.

However, Rodina is still not "full" in the sense that there isn't currently enough content. That's what I'm working on right now!'

'Possibly, yes. If RODINA ever gets a major new feature like Multiplayer, I will increase the price.'

'The community is very important to me. I interact on the forums constantly, and am always listening to feedback. Users help me test the game, and keep it generally stable.

Every once in a while I do an informal "vote" to determine what milestone to work on next. I always have plans, but sometimes it's fun to get structured feedback from my customers. I really enjoy getting the community involved!'

RODINA is a dream.

A shared vision of a massive, seamless universe to explore. The perfect immersive space sim, where you can go anywhere, do anything, become anyone.

I started RODINA because I suspected that no company could ever achieve this dream in a AAA way. I thought that perhaps a single developer, working over a long time frame, could eventually build something great.

Future Vision:

Over time, I intend to work on Rodina towards the direction of "Daggerfall in Space" - a seamless procedurally-generated space RPG on a massive scale.

Frankly, this is crazy! I can't make any promises about where or how long Rodina will go (and I ask you to buy only based on what you see here now), but I can promise to keep working on Rodina for as long as I'm able to. I'm committed to making Rodina great, and I hope that what's already released shows that I'm capable of delivering something different, vital, and fun.
