About This Demo

The game is still in development and currently lacks features such as a character creator and cinematics. This demo is more of a combat/gameplay vibe check. I would greatly appreciate your feedback, the game will only get better from here!

Note that I'm solo developing this game with near zero budget. The game might be a little rough around the edges.

The Depths of Despair aims to capture the engaging progression of MMOs with a souls-like combat experience in a brutal and atmospheric dark fantasy setting.

Features:

Leveling system for easy and non-punishing experience.

Featuring six skill trees with over 296 different abilities and perks combined, offering an huge amount of customization options and fun progression paths.

The game features four distinct combat styles: melee, magic, archery, and summoning.

Customizable follower Amelia, with her own skill tree and attribute points, can be summoned and dismissed at will.

Skills, stats, and everything can be changed on the fly without restrictions.

Allowing the player to freely experiment with different combinations and try out new approaches as they prefer.

Story:

The Depths of Despair tells the story of demons finally finding a way to invade Heaven. The reason for the invasion is, of course, domination, but the main motive is the blood of angels.

Angel blood grants god-like powers to demons and acts like a highly addictive drug. This sparks a new age of fear and horror in the world.

One of the angels, Amelia, desperately goes after the captured angels in an effort to save them, one of whom is her sister. After a long and grueling ordeal in the Dungeon of Lost Souls, she finds a chosen soldier to aid her on the perilous journey.
