Impious is a dark, turn-based roguelite RPG that immerses you in the oppressive depths of an underground indoctrination center set in a time reminiscent of modern days, yet not quite our present. As one of the "Impious," you are captured for your sins and subjected to the brutal attempts of a medieval sect to cleanse your soul through pain and obedience. Will you reclaim your freedom, or will you succumb to the brainwashing horrors within?

Strategic Turn-based Combat

Engage in tactical battles where every decision counts. Utilize a variety of weapons, equipment, and consumables to gain the upper hand. Adapt your strategy by anticipating enemy moves and exploiting critical hits, dodges, and status effects.

Unique Death Mechanics

Death is not the end. When your character falls, they are returned to their cell, stripped of their gear, and subjected to further indoctrination. Manage your character's "Will" to prevent them from becoming permanently brainwashed.

Challenging Environments

Navigate through rooms filled with enemies and diverse challenges. Success relies on your equipment and stats, with varying outcomes that shape your journey. Gain experience, loot valuable items, and restore your Will through these trials.

Interact With other Characters

Meet and interact with characters you have created in previous runs. Trade items, offer motivation, and collaborate to increase your chances of escape, adding depth to the narrative and strategy.

Explore the harsh, angular environments of a brutalist indoctrination center, dominated by concrete and metal. The cold, artificial lighting creates a claustrophobic and oppressive ambiance. Characters wear torturous medieval garb, emphasizing the sect's cruel methods.
