Rest in Peaceis a light roguelike game, that seamlessly blends imaginative elements of action gameplay, exciting story-telling of adventure, and a vast array of creative thoughts.
The mechanics of game development have been facing much more challenges than we thought because of the high expectations we have placed on it.
Also, to control personal bias in game development and verify our project's feasibility, we sincerely hope to discuss it with mature gamers in the community, whose feedback can help us polish our game more attractive and fascinating.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access until the summer of 2025 while maintaining frequent game optimizations and content updates until the official release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more colorful operable characters, much richer storylines, more challenging stages and bosses, and also provide way more directions of exploration for the game.
In addition, we plan to update the supporting function of game systems, enrich the worldview of story-telling, and improve the display of characters, monsters, and scenes in all aspects.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The EA version has already included the primary coverage of the game: basic gameplay experience, 3 vivid operable characters, 3 levels of difficulty, and several supporting game systems in the whole beaucoup background story of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As the development time increases and the game content becomes richer, the game price may be appropriately increased by a small margin at the launch stage.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

Timely Updating log
We plan to regularly update varied content, such as literature, and audio/video materials, related to the development progress, showcasing the new systems, technical challenges, and future development plans through social media.
Interview and live streaming of developer
We plan to prepare live streaming during the mechanics of game development including deep interviews, quick Q&A, and focus groups, aiming to hear feedback from different gamer communities.
Social Media and SNS
We plan to create QQ chat group and Discord channel to answer immediately about gamers' concerns, feelings, and ideas through free and open discussion.
Panel and focus group
We plan to invite some passionate gamers, core gamers, and KOL in the game community, to join us before our game has been launched. We plan to grab more professional feedback from these fellas about gameplay which can improve the quality of our game to an extent.
Questionnaire and Online vote
Through a series of structured questionnaires, we plan to make a whole beaucoup of crucial decisions about our game such as certain operating systems, ideas about the direction of development, and refinement about storytelling, etc.
Also, there must be some debatable space we want gamers to decide: Non-core tasks in the game scenes, preference of character design, and so on. We plan to list several options for gamers to vote for the final results.
Punctual fix and repair
Through those timely interactions, we plan to repair balance issues, fix bugs, and submit hotfix installers in our game as fast as possible.

-Bizarre World: Between Yin and Yang

Rest in Peace is a rogue-like adventure game set in a ghast countryside filled with evil spirits and demons, located in a bizarre region on the fringes of the human and ghostly realms.

-Adventure: Weird and Fascinating

Players, as watchmen from the nether world, will exorcise the demons hiding in a ghast countryside surrounded by dark dank scrubs and trees.

Some of those watchmen have familiar faces and were well-known within the thousands-of-year folk culture of China. Some are strange but still vivid characters, unique in Rest in Peace, created by our talented fellows according to outlandish tales based on their own experiences.

Also, the demons in Rest in Peace, which players will take themselves as encounters, are evil spirits and weird monsters often seen in folklore spread widely in our culture. Those demons have tortuous and fantastic backstorys, providing players endless fancy and imagination.

Besides the core mission: exorcising the demons, huge amounts of temporary missions awaited in Rest in Peace. In those extra missions, players will see more annoying spirits and monsters. We hope those missions can provide players with exciting feelings in adventures as much as possible.

-Battle: A fancy match of gameplay, replay value, and pleasure

Players will get rewards by defeating evil spirits and monsters in Rest in Peace. Those rewards can enhance the power of their avatars in different ways.

By picking up some of those rewards, players’ avatars can learn various spell-like skills; Meanwhile, combine those skills to create the strongest packages of skills for follow-up battles.

Players can adjust their skill packages at any time: changing choices of skills, selecting the appropriate combination of skills, decide the direction of enhancement of skills, which will make every second of battles a brand-new experience.
