Why Early Access?

“Hi there! Catastrophic Cat Command is a small indie game developed by a computer science teacher with the help of his students. The game will probably evolve over time into something bigger (or even something slightly different). We chose Early Access because we plan to polish the game and expand its content based on community feedback further down the road.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access for at least a year. We plan to release the full game at the end of 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more mini-games in the future, add controller support and implement steam achievements. However, our priority regarding developement may change based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable from start to finish. It has a tutorial mode, where you can learn the various mini-games and the main game mode, where you hunt for points. Twelve mini-games are currently implemented. The game also features 14 different music tracks that change depending on the active mini-game.

The game is not free of bugs - some cosmetic and in a few rare cases game-breaking. Most of them are fixable by simply restarting the game from the main menue.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is free and it stays that way.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to add new features and fix possible bugs and issues based on community feedback. We already have a rough roadmap regarding the next developement steps, but are inclined to deviate if the community has specific suggestions or content wishes.”
